If 'patrick' / 'steven' is a founder surly he invested at the start using his own cash (Bitbay's cash) so do Bitbay own QTUM?

He stole 200btc from Bitbay's ICO & used it to fund this project

Shit is hitting the fan for sure. Scammers make my blood boil.

Wow, FUDsters seem to have taken over this thread, I don't understand why some people will base their conclusion on just a tweet that this project is a scam. I'm not trying to defend Qtum team but there should be more information in the space before coming to conclusion that this is 100% scam

BitBay response to association with QTUM co-Founder Patrick Dai

The BitBay development team has been asked to comment on the possible link between one of BitBay’s original founders, and Patrick Dai, a co-founder of the QTUM Project.  BitBay’s lead developer, David Zimbeck has confirmed the man using the name Patrick Dai from QTUM, was known as Steven Dai when he was associated with BitBay.

Steven Dai walked away from BitBay with publically invested Bitcoin & millions of BAY from the initial offering which has never been returned.  The BitBay team recommends extreme caution when it comes to investing in any cryptocurrency project associated with Steven (AKA Patrick) Dai.

BitBay is more interested in letting people know about the future than reliving the past. Even without support from the original founders, David Zimbeck has continued with the development of BitBay. A fully functional decentralized Smart Contract client is freely available for public use and is the most advanced crypto currency product available today.

That doesen't look like FUD. I wanted to invest into their ICO but after I read these news I don't touch it anymore.

Ohhhhh! Scam foiled.

Good job, Joshua Bouw.

the same guys that fucked #BitBay and David Zimbeck are the guys behind #Qtum.

search brings up Steven's real name. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850267.4255;wap2

Google that you get: http://domainbigdata.com/sixchain.com  Patrick's e-mail which is consistent with what Zimbeck said it was.

Google that and you get a ton of e-mails used for articles in Chinese. http://www.8btc.com/how-to-fork-ethereum …, look at the author name 帅初 and the pic

帅初 is the same Chinese name on Qtum's team page in Chinese. https://qtum.org/zh/team-zh/

The picture of the article is the same as https://bitse.com/team/   Patrick's page.

so, someone essentially steals money on a previous project and creates his own while at the same time trying to assume another ID

are you honestly going to trust that person with your money?

Yep, it is very not clear now, if it is scam, why angel investors got screwed too? If it is real scam, it will be the hugest scam all of the world.

So they paid high in bounties to make everyone feel they are legit?

Maybe, but after some moral people reminded us, the project looks not legitimate any more, and the proofs are released before ICO, it is definitely good for general investors, they won't lose money.

It is a serious scam accusation, angel investors also were scammed and forgot his black history. Is this ICO using escrows? If not, it could be very possible scam.

PS: don't delete our posts, otherwise we will make a scam accusation.

The Lady with the Lamp

I don't care what bitbay dev says or thinks. What I do care is are there same people behind Qtum who ran with the bitbay ICO money and are well known scammers... This needs to be sorted out!

Yeah, you are right. That's the point.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17942817

is this true? thanks for sharing this info..
Yes it is, and that makes me shock.

Patrick Dai = Steven Dai = Dangerous project is obvious.

Bad news for Qtum.  I wonder how the Angel backers feel about all this and if they will be able to get their investment back.  Glad all of this came out before the ICO.

Qtum team maybe busy coz nobody is trying to clear Patrick Dai's name from all this rumors...so probably it's true?? or maybe not coz they dont care...i hope they will clear this issue before ico starts.

A new level of FUD, you guys think Angel investors that invested millions into this project did without any due diligence, they are not any Joe on the street. Bitbay project has stalled for some time  maybe the team is jealous of their former colleague success and trying to soil his image

Can't wait to waiting for bounty from this coin, I noticed the payment signature campaign is the best, but a shock because only lasted for 4 weeks, it looks like they are not ready.

Do you not read the comments above  Undecided the fate of the coin is still in question is unclear whether released or canceled
You should continue to follow this thread or you will lose .

Crypto is Life!
Who to trust ? We are on the internet right ? Everyone needs to make their due diligence when investing.

I will need github files to be uploaded to make up my mind whether this is legit or 'scam'
