How is burning 2% supporting anything? It goes to a burn address. No one can use the 2% for anything. What aspect of burning helps support environmental goals? What goals are these?

How is the even remotely possible to support eco-friendly initiatives? Is this PoS only coin?
Plus, 2% is a massive number! Why not simply burn the tx_fee? Still deflationary, similar to other coins and not 2%.
