So why all of haters of enemy miner just don't stop use it? Anybody force you to do that? There is always an option.

The amount of hate around here is too damn high.

+1

In the first days of mining RVN, I used 2.2.5. Then came Enemy, and I made 10-15% more.
For 1% I get 10%. On my rigs that was about $10 per day. All good, and he should get paid.

BUT all those calculations don't account for the drop in mining over time. He makes some good coin early on but it falls off.

He has earned his coin! and I've made more too.

How so?If you think about his 1% that isnt really a lot especialy for a guy that made first version for free that was much faster and more stable than previous miners...if you think thats greedy then you can try your luck with sp mods Grin
1% is gigantic.
Just look at the statistic on ravenminer. Enemy 1.05 has 27GH so 270MH on this pool alone.
Enemy 1.03 has 115GH
Technically enemy 1.05 is more performing than 1.03 so everyone will migrate one day or another.
If you adapt those figures to the global hashrate, one could estimate that enemy miner can get as much as 30% of the total hashrate which is 1800GH so this is 6GH of dev fee which at the current rate would be a revenue of 26000$/month, $322000/year
1% dev fee is gigantic.

i really can't understand how that 1% can go in your math all the way up to 30%.

If right now you take let's say half of all hasrate, than is anywhere between 800GH to 1000GH per second. 1% is 8-10 GH per second. 0.25 would be 2-2.5 GH/s.

Not put that into perspective,  those 8-10 GH/s means around 32.000 coins per day out of a total of 7.2 million coins mined. That is a 0.44% of total mined coins per day. Yeah it adds up to a total of 400K $ per year. Then again think about it....this is mining. The way the miner works for the dev is that it changes pool for like 10 minutes or so to mine for the dev. That doesn't mean he will get the full coin amount per year.

Even with .25% it would still be 100.000 $ and you guys would still hate. Use a miner with less hashrate if you don't want to, mine on 0% pool fees and or solo and see if it is better.

The amount of hate around here is too damn high.

1% dev fee is gigantic.

People don't realise how stupid big 1% is.

if you take 0.25% of ravencoin mining alone, enemy dev makes 40K a year with current prices.

I really want to learn how to dev, i believe there can be a small dev team of 3-4 that can continously work on miners with a 0.25% dev fee and maintain constant good updates. I just need to find the right people to do this with.
Just corrected my math which used 100% of the global hashrate instead of 1/3 but yeah, people do not realize ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (also corrected 1.03 better than 1.05 when it's fact it's the contrary :p =

What's with price drop?

There is a huge 36million raven sell order on cryptobridge.

That's not 36 million it's 36 thousand look closer there is a period and 4 places after it.

It actually was 36 million, but it was a spoofed order from a glitch on cryptobridge. CB confirmed they cleared the order on their end and that the coins were "erroneous."

Yeah, my bad that's what I get for not completely catching up before responding.

Enemy 1.05a got stuck in the mining some dev fee state last night. It obviously move the test back to it's start
I think i know why it got stuck (i'm blocking all outbound ports of my firewall rules except the one i'm using)
I unblocked all ports and i will see the status.
In any case, for the moment the winner seems to be a1min3r 2.2.5.1
Yeah all the latest enemy miners dev mine to ravenminer.com:6666 - so if you want to use it behind a firewall you need to allow that IP and that port. The IP which it currently translates to is 52.39.150.105. So whatever is hard coded  i.e. the IP or domain name changes in the future then all these versions of the miners will fail at that point. I informed enemy on Discord today indirectly. He said it was the other dev that added the devfee - so if he tells him or not we'll see.

i think we can stop our speculations, theres no wall it has been sold in one transaction

and look at 300 BTC 24h volume Wink

From Discord...

Tman - Today at 2:45 PM
To summarize:  A guy made a deposit to crytobridge and an error occurred that gave him 36 million bridge.rvn, not real raven. He tried to sell it, I asked Cryptobridge developer to look into it. They determined that it was a bug as they did not have that raven in their raven wallet. Because they couldn’t cancel the transaction, they had to buy the 36 million bridge.rvn and basically burn them. There are not REAL raven, no real raven was burned.

Ha, thanks for clarification!

When I today find out that it was really "sold" in one transaction, then I thought almost the same, because it wouldnt be possible that someone would buy that just like that.

So cryptobridge is then pretty shitty exchange and we can only hope it will get listed to some proper one soon. Their one stupid bug and such a drop in a price! I can tell it was some expensive lesson for weak hands who sold that dip and today they will be buying again

Hello,

Someone please help me. I've stored my Raven coins on my qt wallet. Today I decided to check it, upon opening it said. "Since it is your first time launching, please choose the location of your file". Did the steps, then it had to resync the wallet again. I have now lost all my Raven coins and not sure where they went. Can someone help me?

Thanks
