i donwload the win64 wallet , BUT IS SAYS "SYNCING HEADERS  1 YEAR AND 0 WEEK BEHIND" are there any way to make it fast ?
second thing : i tried to use web wallet , did already create account , but i could not sign in again?

Anyone have any ideas about this issue? Previous versions of wallet updated in just a few minutes, now this one updates in forever. Is there a way around this? Reinstalled from scratch wallet, have the wallet.dat and backup files safe but increase in sync is at 1.8% per hour. Used to see hundreds % before.

can somebody tell me why there is no information about team behind raven. Why they are hiding

you can find them on github or discord~ they are nice.

team video https://youtu.be/jc0zCNT4AJc?t=2613

rvn long and prosper!
thank you, I have watch this video and part 2 of conference and got all answers on questions that I had.
I am going to invest some money and start to mining, becouse I think ravencoin has the future

Ravencoin  is one of those coins which have a really great future. If you have some extra BTC, I will recommend to keep some Ravencoin in your portfolio. I am not saying to hold a big chuck of them but atleast your  portfolio should have some portion of Ravencoin, as it is a valuable hidden gem.

when rvn pass eth on CMC? Cheesy

Ethereum is taking a stand against ASICs/FPGAs though.
The problem with this hardware is not only that fewer people can access them and therefore the distribution of coins is going to less people, but a more serious problem is that we're supporting a bad business model if we allow them to exist and be profitable.

By "bad business model" I'm referring to the usual circle of,
1) Develop and ASIC/FPGA and mine with it for some months
2) When a better ASIC/FPGA can be developed soon, open preorders for the current model
3) When the development of the new ASIC/FPGA is done, send the preorders of the previous model and start mining with the new one

Because of the above circle, most of the profits from mining goes to a few companies; people will either make a marginal profit before they end up with a useless card or get into a brake even, depending on the amount of cards and electricity cost.
Sure, the network is highly secured and the customers and the users don't care if ASICs, FPGAs or GPUs are used. But the wealth is going to few hands, the price can crush at any moment if a single entity decides they want to exit and the whole outcome is against the belief most cryptocurrency veterans believe in: Decentralization.

And let's not compare altcoins with Bitcoin, it took years for Bitcoin's network to get ASICs and it had a lot of coins in circulation already. Most of the whales in BTC have appeared not because they manufactured non-public hardware and software, but because they believed in Bitcoin and bought in early. Even if the rest 15% or so of Bitcoins that are left to be mined get to companies' hands in the next 100 years, that isn't as big of a deal as allowing this hardware to exist in the early stages of altcoins.

Nobody can tell this when this will happen if this would get succeed to take its place among top 5 coins than it could gain x100 which will be really amazing for long term investors.

Ravencoin is made with purposes and strong fundamentals of decentralization and peer 2 peer transfers for anyone. If someone wonder how is this different when these things can be read everywhere then I will say to look at the way it got listed on exchanges specially Binance to understand. There is no free lunch everything is price one way or other. It was pushed to get listed with strong support and this is whole point of focus. It is struggle in market but this will make is stronger.

Wow this is nice approach Raven is becoming more popular and this community growing really fast. I think it is worth for it to invest in this coin because it will become more big in future and this year will bring more success for it.

Raven coin is good picking for 2019. This coin has a great future and potential. Although there is no big news for RVN but the team is woking good behind the scenes and i think it will give good returns this year.

This year will be a wild ride for Ravencoin. With big things coming to T0 exchange in March and dividend and messaging features added to RVN code this year, Ravencoin has a bright future ahead!

Burstcoin can do all this already and has been around way longer, but it's not going to the moon.

Jason Crowe destroyed all hope of that.  I used to be a big fan of Burst.

I'm still mining Burst and I trade them on the exchanges. They went to PoC2 and there's new wallets. You can CPU mine still and use your GPU for other mining at the same time. I use the few coins to help with electric cost on my RVN GPU mining. Burst has all these same features, messaging, asset exchange, dividend payouts, low fee's. Exactly what RVN dev's are trying to achieve. Jason Crowe and Mr. Burst thing is in the past, but your right that did hurt the coins rep.

I agree with this guy. I am also mining Burst since Feb/2018 and as far as I see it, Burst works just fine. Had no problems whatsoever since then. Whatever that Jason Crowe guy did in the past, will stay in the past.

However... Whether if its on Raven or Burst, I actually don't care much about assets. Tbh, I don't understand how they work and how's that useful at all. I did some research about that Jason guy on google and I found out that he was also fucking with "assets" and that's how he fucked burst up which leads me to my final conclusion about the subject:

Assets suck.

I don't know how RVN is going to handle this. I hope it does because I am also investing in it from time to time.

Maybe if you did 10 minutes of research on the shitcoins you invest in you'd have a better underatanding on what their use case is. If you don't understand why real assets on a blockchain are useful, you haven't done enough (or any) research.

ETH creating tokens out of thin air that mean nothing, those have value, but stocks represented on a blockchain? Worthless. /s

Yeah don't you get how cutting fees & middlemen out of traditional finance ventures is going to revolutionize the way people in sandals and polo shirts do business?
Well I think there is something that ETH and the like can reaaly do to help people in sandals, and it is permit them to invest in bussinesses (out of their countries) they couldnt invest if there was no ETH.

is just when someone or group of someone (but not too large of a group) manages to gather 100,000,000 coins , one then hopes it has intension to keep building momentum in the technology and not just fast profit turn around, if holdings are distributed more equilaterally chances of utter destruction of a coin diminish significantly

no worries wont be trolling , was just revisiting some POW situation to detect trends etc, I am pretty sure raven intentions as far as vision etc are on solid grounds, but it just so happened juust at the time when I was looking at the pool , that miner emerged with a word "dig" lol so bit of humor , did he dig!

no worries I support our landscape (crypto tech in general) just got me by surprise thats all, I am sure yo guys knew this for some time now, and yes network will secure, but who knows going forward and intention of that person or a small group with large % hold

love the thing the B thing.. there is abs 0 reason why raven also couldnt get proof of storage.. its full fpga resistant. might be the way to go actually for many if POW... hate to cross post, but its for good of the  overall landscape

meantime the entity is doubling on collection bit funny to watch not funny if ya are invested of course..

Okay, let’s play devil’s advocate. Who gives 2 F’s if there ARE FPGAs? Any hashing power secures the network. So what if it’s an ASIC? BTC has ASICs. Maybe if you’re a miner you care because your rewards are diminished, but as a user? The dark gravity wave difficulty adjustment and the 60 block reorganization lock out means no double spends. When FPGAs are no longer profitable they will be shut down, difficulty will adjust and hobbiest miners will keep the chain alive. Go cry somewhere else.

I think exactly the same as the previous post. If RVN manages to represent stocks on blockchain (with all the implications) then I clearly see the utility of the coin. I dont understand your post.
