Looks like ruby will be doing what it was destined to do, a million dollar market cap is to be expected. This is beyond hype.

What is program trading?

Wikipedia defines it as: “Program trading is a type of trading in securities, usually consisting of baskets of fifteen stocks or more that are executed by a computer program simultaneously based on predetermined conditions”

How does this work in practice?

If you read the post above about arbitrage, a profit can be realized by crystallizing a pricing disparity on different exchanges. However, this idea can be extended to pricing differences between index baskets too.

Further, the arbitrage can be extended to consider the pricing of the index and its constituent parts. Imagine then an index with 50 stocks. How can you quickly assess whether the index is under or over performing its constituents in time to take advantage of a price delta?

You need a program trading system!!

Investopedia defines arbitrage as:
“The simultaneous purchase and sale of an asset in order to profit from a difference in the price. It is a trade that profits by exploiting price differences of identical or similar financial instruments, on different markets or in different forms. Arbitrage exists as a result of market inefficiencies; it provides a mechanism to ensure prices do not deviate substantially from fair value for long periods of time.”
I used to work at Salomon Smith Barney before the merger into Citigroup. The one of the highest earning depts was the Arb (arbitrage) unit. Unfortunately, in ‘real world’ markets, huge sums of cash were required to leverage tiny price differentials and having the skills to get in and out quick, at volume was risky business… and so scaled back when Citi took control.

There is a huge opportunity is crypto currencies with this kind of trading. As new coins come to market, and more exchanges open, the more opportunities there are to lock in some good trades.
However, this takes a lot of time and skill and an incredible awareness of what’s coming to market.

Hence, im very excited about Cryptobot. I’ve talked with the developer at length, and from some of the technology he shared in the IRC it looks very promising.

The automated process of spotting arbitrage opportunities has incredible value. Further than that, automated execution brings a new dimension to the crypto-currency markets.

The ‘waiting list’ is building: I’m trading for RUBY right now (the price is currently at a week low – so NOW IS a very good time to buy) and placing my refundable deposit on the waiting list.

Once Cryptobot is in full swing, human trades will be too slow. You just wont be able to compete  – and, the further down the waiting list, the longer it will take to reap the advantage. Whats also interesting is the double advantage: not only automated earnings, but that this will inherently increase the value of RUBY.

The DEV is still working very hard on this coin. It is a long term crypto-currency with on going projects, CRYPOT BOT is the next service that will be provided by Rubycoin.

Well written, I don't have time for everyday active trading and idea of similar tool is buzzing my mind for some time and shares the same concepts(although not everything and execution may differ), though I haven't even started to implement them yet, really curious to see how Cryptobot executes them, it would be useful tool even with less features(without automated trading, giving signals is just fine most of the time).

I started to pickup ruby maybe 2 months ago, exited on recent growth, and already reentered when everyone sold their coins chasing Uro nonsense. Ruby is one of the few coins that's comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, thank you and good luck, looking forward to Cryptobot.

I am waiting with overwhelming expectations for Cryptobot release well done dev!

I believe I bought a little of these rubycoins from cryptorush.in like two moths ago or something. Wonder if I ave lost them. It looks like they have a new graphics but open beta? Like what?
