soooo. why are the average block times over 2 minutes? when the diff should be re-adjusting every block cause of KGW? anyone care explain this to me? the block times are supposed to be 60 seconds... sooo.....

The 'target' is 60 seconds.  That means it's a best case scenario where blocks will be 60 seconds apart.  Also, the KGW doesn't adjust immediately.  There is a dampening effect where it may take the betterment of over 30 blocks to get where it needs to be.

yeah, i know it's not exactly every block, but you know what i mean, this seems slow. i've been mining and watching the pools/net hash closely since launch today, and for the past 5 hours the time has always been way more than 60 seconds. i saw it go from 350 to 500 in no time, then from 500 to 650 it's taken 5 hours... something's not right, the time per block keeps getting longer too

screw it this coin is a fkn scam ...

Use my wallet then.... I know that this is not mine becuase mine has litecoin tray icon fixed...

Why is your download 20Mb ?? what else is in there ??

qrc_bitcoin.cpp -> 11.7 MB
rubycoin-qt.exe -> 22.3 MB
rubycoind.exe -> 6.01 MB
rest of dll dependencies -> 16.1 MB

In windows 8.1 with only the main .exe works right but I tested on my windows 7 machine was asking for dlls, so I packed all together.

QT should be around 8.2 meg ... yours is 22mb .exe so I'll ask again WTF else is in there ??

I'm going to have to step up and say Binaryclock over at Dedicated pools is the hardest working pool operator I have come across.

That guy never sleeps and has been there to help me anytime I didn't think something was right.

If you keep losing coins maybe you should watch his video on pool security. there ius some interesting info in there that I hadn't thought of.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksTRQqDoWwE

also you should always set your auto payout to somewhere below the max number of coins you are willing to lose. keeping 15000 coins on any pool just doesnt seem like a good idea to me.

It is kinda sad to see everyone crying that they didn't make a million dollars on the launch.
seems to be a pretty solid coin with a lot of interest. on exchanges 1st day and at a decent price.
If the devs use the pre-mine properly to promote this coin (which I have no reason to believe otherwise as they want it to do well) the interest and price will hopefully keep rising.

A very promising coin.

Thanks for the wallet, but a few things should be fixed as well.

1. Remove the litecoin icon(thanks for correcting the tray icon)
2. Give credit back to Litecoin Developers
3. Add Copyright 2014 Rubycoin

Thanks again for your work
I can do it... but devs must give me the media... there is no such media for branding in the sources...
What icon do you mean in point 1?
Why does wallet crash out on Exit, yet the "dev of the wallet" claimed the bounty ?? did no one check this Huh yet another OM F G fail .......
My wallet does not crash on exit... just the op link crashes... I am waiting for branded media to fix the "about" window, but everything is working fine...

Actually the block target time is 150 sec. so seems as kgw is working perfectly.
