The first month of summer is over, and it's time to tell you about the most important news and events of Relictum Ecosystem in June.

🎉 Relictum Pro celebrated its birthday! June 3rd marks 3 years of Relictum Pro, and we celebrated two years since the launch of Mainnet Relictum Blockchain on June 1st. The last month has been busy for the team and community: a lot of events, as well as hard work on the creation and development of the ecosystem products.

 🖥 News of the Relictum Ecosystem development.

This month, we have opened access to the Finance widget code, the USDR buying tool! The product can currently be enabled and used on any website. The connection code is hosted on the popular platform GitHub.

At the same time, Relictum DEX successfully passed the next iteration of testing, where no critical errors were detected! We prove once again that only high-class professionals work in our team!

The team worked on improving the website style; new sections about staking, DEX, and dApps were added; and the navigation system was also updated. The team is currently finishing preparations for the release, and you will be able to evaluate the work we have done in the near future.

Besides, much attention was paid to the modernization of Relictum Storage – in particular, to increase the file downloading speed and to improve the reliability of information storage. You will be able to evaluate it by your own soon.

It was also decided to exchange RLC tokens for GTN tokens with a bonus ratio of 25%! The exchange period is until August 15, 2022. Be in time to complete the exchange!

🏞 News from the NFT world

A presentation of a new startup, NFT ISLAM MARKETPLACE, took place. Users will be able to buy and sell Sharia-compliant NFTs on the new digital platform. A series of webinars was held with Relictum Ecosystem CMO, Nikolay Osipenko. 💎 What is Web 3.0?

Web 3.0 is a conceptual representation of the further development of the Internet space and technology. It is generally accepted that it combines decentralization, anonymity, and the absence of intermediaries when users interact with each other. However, the concept of Web 3.0 has a broader interpretation and includes a set of fundamental characteristics.

1️⃣ Decentralization. Information is stored in Web 2.0 centrally on servers and data centers of large IT giants. Computing power is also concentrated there. In turn, information and its processing in Web 3.0 should be distributed among a wide range of users.

2️⃣ No censorship. Web 3.0 is supposed to abandon censorship from tech giants and give users full freedom of speech. However, we are not talking about information anarchy. The user community will act as moderators in the Web 3.0 network.

3️⃣ Open source. Most software must be open source in Web 3.0. This will enable users to know exactly how to interact with it. In particular, people will understand what personal data is being collected.

4️⃣ Ubiquity of AI. Although some users are negative about the development of artificial intelligence, most of them vote for it. It is believed that AI will help people find interesting content and other tasks in Web 3.0.

5️⃣ Semantic web. Despite the technology advances, human natural speech is hardly perceived by machines. To increase their efficiency, Web 3.0 can use the idea of ​​a semantic web, which operates by building links "subject 1 – connection type – subject 2". However, not all followers of the Web 3.0 idea support this concept.

🌐 The above parameters of Web 3.0 are the key ones. In practice, a huge number of user groups represent the "perfect" Web 3.0 in their own way, making their own additions to its concept.

📀 What is decentralization?

Decentralization is one of the key principles on which the Internet of the future (Web 3.0) stands. Moreover, many agree that it is the main difference between Web 3.0 and Web 2.0.

In case of decentralized information storage, all network data is evenly distributed among users. This means that each participant acts as a small independent "server", similar to thousands and millions of such "servers" of other people. The computing power is distributed in the same way.

Frequently asked questions about staking

We would like to remind you that you can stake genesis tokens of the Relictum Blockchain network, GTNs, directly in the Relictum PRO node. You can top up your account in the Relictum DEX tab, as well as through the Relictum Finance platform.

❓For what period can I stake tokens?

Available staking periods are 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. Staking tokens for 2 months, or, say, 4 months will not work. You will be offered a choice of only available options in the Staking tab. Moreover, you can send any amount within the existing account. The number of orders is also not limited.

❓When are royalties paid?

Royalties will be credited to your Relictum Wallet account twice a month, on the 1st and. The 15th day. Payouts are made in wrapped RBTC, RETH, RLTC or USDR stablecoins. The payment will be made in the tokens which the Relictum DEX exchange managed to earn the most over the period from the previous payment. More tokens for royalty payments will be available in the future.

❓The staking period is over, what to do next?

You must manually withdraw the tokens from staking each time after the completion of your chosen cycle of 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. If this is not done, they will remain blocked but no longer generate royalties.

You can send your GTNs to a new staking cycle or unlock them, but both of these operations are done manually, not automatically. Go to the Staking tab and click on the button with three dots “⋮” to unlock at any time you want.

❓What happens if the tokens are withdrawn from staking before the end of the cycle?

This is impossible. Tokens that are in staking cannot be unlocked before the end of the cycle you have chosen.

❓What factors determine how much a staker will get in the end?

The royalty amount depends on the following:

♦️ income of the Relictum Blockchain network;

♦️ staking amount – the larger it is, the higher the percentage of royalties.

❓What would you do if the device with the node is lost 😱: laptop, tablet or smartphone? Let's talk about restoring access to the node on a new device, and also recall the security rules.
 
How to restore access to the node on a new device:
 
1. Install the Relictum Node app.
2. Enter the previously saved export.pk file (manual can be found here) during activation or enter the private key from another source (paper record, text file, etc.) in a special box.
3. Download and save your new private key.
4. Select and save the new PIN code in a safe place.

☝️ After that, your account on any other devices will be automatically closed and remain activated only on the current device.
 
❗️ Attention! All private keys in Relictum Blockchain are for one-time use. Once you have used the key to activate the node, you MUST export and save the new key in a safe place.
 
Let’s recall the rules for storing the private key:
 
1. Do not share the export.pk file or other record with third parties.
2. If you have lost your private key, but your node is still active on the device, then generate a new one: "Settings" → "Export" → "Generate".
3. Store the key on another device (not the one where the node is activated).
 
❗️Caution: if you lose the current private key and the device with the node, no one will be able to restore access to your account, not even the Relictum Blockchain developers.

❓ What is Relictum Storage?
 
Relictum Storage is available to every account owner in the Relictum Blockchain network. You can send files to it or download them at any time – just open the “Storage” tab in the node. Unlike cloud storage, your documents have a much higher degree of protection in such a secure and decentralized digital safe.

100% privacy and reliability are ensured by a special method of information storage. When uploaded to the Relictum Blockchain network, each user file is divided into many parts in accordance with the smart contract. Each part is encrypted and copied 7 times. After that, all copies are distributed to various storages.
 

Advantages of this method:
♦️ no part of the file can be decrypted without the rest of the parts, so the owner of one particular storage will not be able to use the contents of its memory;
♦️ physical removal of any individual storage from the network will not result in irreversible data loss, since encrypted copies are stored on other devices;
♦️ file download speed is higher than in analogue p2p networks;
♦️ storage period is for life;
♦️ absolute privacy: files can be downloaded using any device — just install the Relictum Node app and activate your account using a private key.
