To all the investors saying that the POW should be cut short or reduced in volume, you really need to think about the value that mining brings to a coin! Fair distribution amongst thousands of miners who will tell their friends, trade, and sell small amounts on exchanges will bring much much more value to this coin.

Many people would already be scared about a 50% IPO, but with a fair distribution to miners people should still be able to see the value in this coin.

You need the miners to give this coin value, think about it =)

This is exactly right. Mining is far more important for good fair coin distribution for a coin than anything else. For a coin like this, only those interested in the future of the coin will choose to mine, not dumpers.

If I had spare BTC I would consider investing in this coin, but I do not so I will try my hand at mining to gather some investment instead and I will not be dumping =)

Whats the algo going to be?

The initial distribution is well planned. The cheap initial price provides a good base for a healthy future market.
I am happy and calmed to see 50% of the coins in the hands of +100 serious investors instead of some big miners..

regarding the community-votes it looks like we re going to us the scrypt algo.
