The SFRDirect protocol and decentralized exchange are all developed. We are working on some extra features to increase the value of cSFR and its usage.

Any idea when we can try an alpha public testing of the decentralized exchange?

Anyone know how to compile the code on MacOS? What are the necessary libraries (webkit, etc.)?

Hey guys, why the SFR is not listed here?
There is in this list of coins whose anonymity is not even yet established.
SFR and SFRSend really requires more communication !

barabbas I cant fully comprehend what your problem with the 10gb message is? This is a standard message built into the latest bitcoin qt wallet.  Any coin built from the latest bitcoin core will have this mesage.  In fact go download the bitmark qt wallet and you will get the exact same message.  IMO it is a great feature as it allows you to easily assign where the blockchain data is stored on your PC.  The saffron blockchain is still very small (approx 300Mb).  It will take several years to reach 10Gb.

The exact message is: "At least 10GB of data will be stored in this directory, and it will grow over time.". He thinks that it will be after fresh installation of the wallet. That is why he's asking those questions, which imo deserves an answer if he was a newbie.

Who are you Saffroncoin, are you Muhammad? I am confused. I have POSTED here screenshots of why I had NOT test the wallet, which is quite impressive for what I have seen in the OP. I want Mohamed or Muhammad Roshan to tell me it is a mistake and, if it is, why hasn't been corrected for many people that would want to test it won't and will go on to the nexty coin.

Otherwise, you must be some new kind of stupid to even remotely believe that anything I post -in this case it would all be positive for I havent post a single negative thing about saffron coin yet- has even the slightest effect in the price of any coin, whether it is going up or is it going down. And I see that you have company... which is downright scary, really.

If it is a mistake is is the simplest of things to state so here. And almost as simple to correct it in the splash and therefore it disappears and reflect the size of the thing. Every single coin, including the shitcoins, has at least that. Why saffron hasn't.

Once again, I ask Roshan -and this will me my last such question- to clarify that for me and, if applicable, correct it. If that doesn't happen within the next 24 hours, guess what, you can celebrate for I don't want to share any time, or investment, with such "luminaries". I will divest my very modest investment in Saffron and you will never heard of me again on this thread. I will leave you so you can continue digging your own hole with no further interference.

But since you mentioned it in such a clumsy way, you will be glad to have the opportunity to expand on how your decentralized exchange is ONLY going to trade on legal good and services and not in "any drugs or such stupid crap". Just how old are you, really? Wow.

Came here with a very positive feeling and I am about to leave with the feeling that I just briefly visited a total nuthouse on a mission to self destroy. Have at it, by all means.

Oh man barabbas, seriously get a life. You seem to be that kind of a person who have issues with everyone that don't agree with you. You probably came to this thread to FUD and drop the price which seems to work.
You are creating negativity for something that everyone else understands except you. You keep talking about blockchain bloat when there is no such thing as such. The blockchain is about 300 mb now. Apart from testing it yourself, you are still claiming it is 10 GB just because it shown as a warning.

Regarding the decentralized exchange, seriously I don't think you have understood what we are doing. This is not an exchange for any drugs or some stupid crap. It is a digital asset currency exchange.
Multi-billion dollar companies such as Overstock and Zynga are looking for such decentralized financial protocols to expand their businesses and people would go to jail for doing this?? Lol. Seriously dude I don't know what you mean to achieve.
Digital asset currencies and exchanges are kicking off but you just do not want to accept it.

I never wanted to pay heed to any of your comments but after your last comment, i felt it is necessary for me to step in. I heard you create negativity wherever you go. So if your time is up, there are many ICO shitcoins waiting to be FUDDED, you can spend your valuable time on them.

Even if the wallet takes 10GB ... so what, we are talking about 0.03 USD worth of disk space.
http://www.jcmit.com/diskprice.htm

Roshan didn't reply because he has better things to do (like working on the decentralized exchange for instance Smiley). Fixing that message would take about 30 seconds and I seriously doubt if that would have an impact on the price. Try harder to find something that's really wrong.

Oh he must be using his time real productively, the coin is 40% down "only" in the last few days so why pay attention to pesky details such as if the wallet is 10GB big or just an uncorrected mistake, right? He must concentrate in that absurd idea of a decentralized exchange that, if it ever works, will get the project shut down and him thrown in jail because people traded illegal drugs and other illegal items in the exchange. That HAS TO be a priority. Indeed.

I can tell you that your 100GB wallet is the MAIN reason for the current price. Maybe you can be little more patient and wait for Mohammed to answer you (if he wants to).

Wallet does not take 10GB... it has been said 10 times.

P.S. In the mean time I accumulated 50k more coins from the weak hands. They lost faith or they just hurry to be burned on another ICO? We'll see in near future.

I think the answer was given before, 10GB is the default announced by the bitcoin wallet, and saffroncoin's wallet is based on it Wink.

My saffroncoin's wallet is less than 300MB Smiley.

Why on earth would the saffron wallet have the "default announced by the bitcoin wallet" then? Sorry it isn't that I don't believe you, I want the dev to clearly answer the question and, if you are right, to change that immediately for it would scare anyone that would like to take a closer look at how the impressive wallet works. It isn't too much to ask, is it?

Hmm this is interesting, it seems like were are not alone at least Smiley https://twitter.com/jyap/status/534924138629316608

Just remember

Who is "we"?

So far I have only found positives in safron. I believe it can be greatly improved and having to download a bloated blockchain to install the GREAT full version of the wallet IS a problem indeed, but in general is much better project that 99% out there... and thats why i made a modest investment in it.

Curious, really curious about who is "we" since I dont find a whole lot of projects to praise in scam-ridden alt world...

First off its Saffron(SFR), not safron.
and
I think he was referring to the SFR community that is here to support, help, and generally believes in Saffron's goals.

Hes a jr and you are a newvie and all of a sudden you are "we"Huh? How peculiar indeed...

I may not post alot on here but have been active in this community for a good while now, I spend my time on IRC. Maybe you could drop in sometime and get to know some of us? We welcome everybody to come hang out and discuss. #sfrcoin

Thank you for the invitation, but no, thank you. I rarely visit IRC's because I have found that, in great numbers, it is a cesspool of idiotic cheerleaders none of which brings absolutely anything of value to the table.

But the most important reason is that I try to avoid visiting ANY place where the freedom of speech is not fully implemented, like it is in this thread. I find that to be a very strong assets and the opposite... well, the opposite.

Now, since you posted that idiotic meme, Saffron has lost 30% and I still have only posted positive things about Saffron, here and on other threads too. So who is really hurting the project? I'll leave it at that.

But since I DO bring significant stuff to the table, I posed a very important question here a few days back and fully expected Muhammed to answer it. Unless I have missed the answer, no one has been forthcoming, so I will pose it again because I believe, again, it is of great importance: To install the full wallet it requires a space of 10GB on your computer. And that is at this stage of the game, the infancy of Saffron. How are you planning on addressing the obvious problem of bloating?

Why is this important? Because, as I have stated before, here and elsewhere, the wallet of Saffron is, to me, it's main palpable asset and I believe it would go a long way in introducing the coin to people that has never heard of or had any interest in Saffron, if they can have a "taste" of that wallet. I can assure you though that, like in my case, the curiosity will be stopped in it's tracks when facing the perspective of a 10GB install. So, again, Is it inevitable? what do we miss, experience and practically-wise, when installing "lighter" versions of the wallet?

Thank you for your answers Mr. Rosham, in advance for I fully expect you to address them rather quickly before the coin is halved in price again. None of us want that to happen, do we?

Exactly Mikr, that's the same with me. I found SFR before I really found BCT, and have only increased my BCT presence to contribute/participate towards growing the SFR community Smiley

So now you're looked down upon unless you dilute the quality of posts only to increase the quantity? Seems very legitimate and probably helpful for the longterm growth of the coin? Regardless, that's great thing about SFR and it's community, we don't judge and we are open to everyone. The community is so diverse, it's great! So many different walks of life can share ideas with different perspectives, all with the common goal of supporting SFR.

I have a good feeling about saffron. After doing some due diligence I think its way undervalued and some really good innovative features are being worked on. A jewel hidden in a pile of shitcoins  Wink

Those devs are really active and made one hell of a useful wallet.
