can someone help me solve the error I am getting.

Give more info please.
Which wallet are you using? The GUI wallet, or the Geth equivalent?

Also, what kind of error, really, any details would help!

Block explorer is coming. I got it working in local. AltcoinSteps already has the server. So... Now I can focus on the website.

The explorer "promised" by AltcoinSteps will be produced for free. Remember, the previous dev spent the whole premine already. Just have patience.

If you are mad, blame the previous developer. This takeover thread was started after the price jump, not before.

Other than the explorer, what do we want to see?

I apologise if my post came across as impatient - the truth is I don't care, I have not put any BTC into SHF, only a few days mining.

I was just trying to state the situation as I thought others would see it.

Good luck with the takeover.

We just had huge dump... Maybe we need some timeline.

There was a timeline. A block explorer was promised nine days ago.

Nothing has happened and people are dumping - no surprise.

this is a joke.

incompetent dev take over.

cash out.

This wasn't a "dev" take over. It is a community take over. It's very hard to find developers. A block explorer is being worked on right now.

I do not see any progress, some promises. Agree with the old developers better! Give us a specific time updates.

Remember that the old developer claimed that the premine went to paying for a block explorer. But there was an open source explorer available the entire time.

If you need to sync your wallet and are stuck, here is what you can do to add peers automatically at launch:
(this explaination is for Windows, but is similar on other OSes as long as you change paths and filenames accordingly)

1. Use Windows key+R to open the Run window.

2. In the Run window, type %appdata%\Shift to open the Shift data folder.

3. Right inside this folder, create a file called static-nodes.json

4. Open this file in your text editor.

5. Copy and paste this inside: (yes, including the brackets)
Code:
[ "enode://9852729849ab856e699af353159e781c780bac3d706da26ae41a64407b320f31c2f4a6fdee74d61ce0c9077a9a578503c8fe4e75722fc2e8ad1b97b8e823d20d@90.161.84.133:53900", "enode://dfac27f4e14600a06480ee72d2d9a28c26805ac8cbc31e1d07225a49d5669f54f97ff9d88c20cd9ec2f148c8cb64861820eee8d235b79a3edceec0648fa9376b@178.33.228.14:53900"
]

6. Save the file. (If needed, you can always add new nodes in this file later on.)

7. Launch your wallet as usual.

really like the way this shift is going so far  Cool
still think of to join slack or not (but im really not a big fan of slack dont know why)
so keep us non slackers here updated too okay?

I will try to update here before slack. Slack is very good for those who contribute more directly. But I will not shy away from bitcointalk.

Also, I will use the self moderation function only in cases of spam, NSFW, and malicious links.
