Building a "real community" would guarantee the survival of this coin regardless of the activity of its main developer. It would be best to have some other devs joining it.

I think an independent community forum would be a good first step in this direction. I would offer myself for moderation and administrative tasks.

PS: Counterparty is not using PoB for network maintenance, Kore will use it for a different purpose (anonymous transactions, although I'm not sure how that will work), so SLM still seems the only one using it for distribution / network maintenance.

We need a response from the dev first. It's just my suggestion. Anyway thank for your support.

PS: I know about they use different kind of PoB but it shows that the PoB idea has potential.

Are you also on  -connect=76.127.202.17?

I used to get 5-10 mints a day. Then suddenly none anymore.

I'm using these:
addnode=54.191.247.114
addnode=112.113.96.138:41682
addnode=112.113.96.138:41683
addnode=112.113.96.138:41686

I set these, deleted the blockchain, tried to download all again. But now it won't get past 17%.
Any ideas?

Is the dev going to abandon this nice coin?
Too bad since a lot of coins are also using the PoB idea like Counterparty or Kore.

If the dev leaves anyone's interested in forming a team and trying to rescue this coin ?

Damnit!
I have done what the dev said and apparently been on a different fork........... again..

If I use your nodes I get newer blocks.
Let's see if it starts minting again now...

Wasted a lot of time with that. Ran the wallet 24/7 for nothing.

Looking for a free VPS in order to host PoB pool. Some suggest ?

Not free, but digitalocean has VPS for pretty cheap.  You could get away with a $20/mo instance.

No such thing as a free VPS unless you know someone.

My wallet just started crashing regularly (runtime error). Is this on my end or something widespread?

I am here Smiley .
I still haven't gotten any mints since my last post.

Suddenly I do get some minimal amounts of coins through PoS but it doesn't display a stake or anything. Just ultra tiny amounts coming in randomly.

There are some helpful members who really try to help this coin but I'm slowly losing faith. By the current rate (without mints) I will never break even. Sad

What do I have to do to activate PoS besides unlocking the wallet with
Code:
walletpassphrase  999999999
?

I don't get any stake at all..

(OP doesn't state PoS specifications..)

Mints also seem to be stuck again.

Difficulty seems to be going down

You dont say .. It has forked only a dozen times. No block propagation issues either. I hear the PoW-PoB reward calculations are good to last a hundred years  Grin

Just had another thought if you want to control the balance of coins from burning vs coins from conventional mining- make the rewards for each based on the other- something like when there is a lot of conventional hashing power compared to the number of effective burnt coins the rewards for PoB blocks go up (and PoW block rewards go down), when there are a lot of effective burnt coins compared to the amount of hashing power, the reward for PoW blocks goes up (and PoB block rewards go down).

Then to fine tune as time goes by all you need to do is adjust the ratio in the formula.
