I want to test this, I cannot make any promises, but it probably will not be tomorrow.

Also, I need a node to sync from that is on a blockchain of height >= 16000. Coping the files does not work.

It does not work probably because of the database format. Not sure which berkeleyDB i've got running on my centos boxes.

Anyone else synced above 16000 ? bitspender ?

EDIT : OK, this is my windows blockchain at 16005, this has to work.

Try it, that is a bug that I fixed already and will release when everything is working at the relaunch.

LoadBlockIndex(): hashBestChain=000000140ef530c4a7c0  height=15942  trust=44832371

This one loads up. Block 15942

I need a sync node that is past block 16000, please give me your addnode address.

Give me 5 minutes.

For some reason i'm getting a corrupt database error on all nodes that were stopped at block 16003. I could gzip and upload it ?

I'd like to see mumus and other developers go through the source code and make sure no coins were premined by the developer. I'd also like to know if there is a chance the BURN address actually spends coins - if so that should also be addressed in the hard fork.

I have setup a new Monero pool.
This pool is intented to all who rented CPU power and is unable to mine SLM for the moment.
Point your hashrate to the pool, and hopefully, with a small amount of miners, we get big payouts  Grin

This pool will be terminated once SLM pool is back up!

Cmon slimcoin dev let's make this happen!

There are so many people that want to help this coin grow along with multiple other devs that have offered help to fix wallet, take it!

I can't help with the wallet / coding but I can help with PR,  once everything works as intended I can advertise the fuck out of this coin!

I'm also a developer and if I would have the time probably I would be able to rebuild the wallet form a stable codebase.

I suspect that could be more time-consuming than you might anticipate. The codebase seems to be a demonspawn of peercoin-cum-primecoin and dogecoin. It doesn't help that the code's been reformatted by an IDE to add vast amounts of gratuitous syntactic litter to the diff.

atm, I'm using meld on ubuntu trusty, seems to filter out the worst of the clutter.

2014 Dogecoin:

2013 Peercoin:

Cheers,

Don't be selfish, it was agreed upon that we will relaunch the coin at block 16000. There is about 5k coins lost in my pool due to this.

It was agreed by those 2 forum members, the only two on this planet that can benefit from this.
Where is the official announcement from the dev about this?

I have no idea if it was just 2 forum members, there aren't many others posting on this forum.. but the network was crumbled and only the pool was finding blocks. slimcoin dev asked if more agreed to it, noone else gave feedback.

see post
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7325049

The problem is that there are only a handfull of people active in this thread, primer being one of them, but he should be a bit less negative Wink

I don't mind that much if it goes to block 16100 or 16200 because i kept 1 miner to the pool, because it was 32 bit anyway and else it wouldn't do much..

Block 16000 is just more fair to others, it will cost me around 300 SLIM as well.
I wasn't very active here but I also agreed to stop at 16000 though I let my miners running on the pool and I'm also loosing 200-300, and I'm not mad at anyone. Even primer was less negative than it used to be Smiley.
The idea of this coin is a good one, the implementation wasn't so good and it was clear from the beginning. So anybody investing in this coin should know that it's a risky one.
More important now is to fix the wallet and "relaunch" or continue with the same blockchain. The developer probably doesn't have enough time to fix it. I'm also a developer and if I would have the time probably I would be able to rebuild the wallet form a stable codebase. Anyway I'm checking the options in the little free time I have.

we all will lose more or less slimcoin, but we need a stable Networks and therefore this was the only option.
