Twitter @Acimirov
You need to try to contact with some pool owners, like Ocminer or Asemov.

thank you, didnt know that.

@ Dev; whats the next point on the agenda?

We seem to have a number of miners - nice! As a result, the difficulty is going up quite fast so a pool would be nice to have fairly soon.

But since we have this much interest, we also need a place for you miners to sell coins. If you can recommend an exchange to approach first then that would be really useful.

Hi Dev,

Anny exchanges Huh
Hi

We've been checking with a few but not had any responses yet.

Do you folks have suggestions? Some of the exchanges seem to have fairly difficult and/or expensive entry protocols.

rpc poort?

We've been using 14242.

If you're GPU mining on the same machine as your server then you should be able to use something like -o http://127.0.0.1:14242

rpc poort?

You don't need to know this. All you have to do is add a line to the smileycoin.conf file:
rpcport=30000

Choose a port number up to 65534, high port numbers are safer since there is less likelihood of a conflict.

mine away!

Here is my .conf file

Code:
rpcuser=me
rpcpassword=mypassword123
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcport=30000
rpcallowip=192.168.2.*
rpcthreads=20

RPCthreads is only important if you have more than 5 miners pointed at the wallet.

The smileycoin, SMLY, will be used for rewarding students for their performance in the tutor-web learning environment.

The tutor-web system is a completely open and freely accessible educational system, with an emphasis on mathematics and statistics. This system has been tested in Europe and Africa, in high schools and universities. It is most commonly used by students who need to practice difficult topics.

See http://tutor-web.info for further information on the project and the various parameters of the SMLY.

Gunnar

SMLY is now available for mining and general use.

For information see http://tutor-web.info/smileycoin

For source code see https://github.com/tutor-web/smileyCoin.git

No OP whatsoever, 50% premine..
Why would any miner take interest in this coin?
All the information needed should be in the listed project link.

You will see in the previous post that our primary purpose is not gambling, pumping, dumping or personal gain but education.

We would like to have a wide network of miners to obtain a stable network. But quite frankly it is quite unlikely that anyone will make a lot of real money on mining a coin intended for education. You really should be interested in education to participate in this project (and willing to follow the link).

When THE market price For this coin Will be  0.00000001 btc X 25.000.000.000 premine coins = 250 btc = 89199 USD
I want to be à student to !
Remember that the primary purpose of this coin is to reward students. So if all you have are 100 students and toss them an occasional SMLY, you do not need many of them. But in that case the project could equally well just buy some TIPS and use them for the same purpose.

It only becomes interesting when you have thousands of students and want to reward them using 1-100 SMLY depending on their performance. Right now we have about 1000 student users of the system per year, but looking to the future we need to accommodate MOOCs with 100 000 students.

Like any cryptocurrency this is scaleable so we could either go with fewer SMLY and scale down, giving 0.1 SMLY for minimal performance etc, or we could choose to have a larger coin base. We chose the latter.

We are currently thinking in terms of 1-100 SMLY for rewards, usually about 10 SMLY for doing working set of drill questions correctly, which may commonly be about 30 minutes of work. You may want to think about this in the context of a block reward of 10 000 SMLY, with one block coming out every 3 minutes.

The tutor-web project will pre-mine up to 50% of all coins. After the initial phase, mining will be open to any miner. The opening date for mining will be announced on this page as well as on twitter (by @gstefans) and on reddit (/r/CryptoCurrency).

Yeah, you need a lot more info in the ANN to be taken seriously at all.
Well, I am pretty new to this, but the intent was to provide a pre-announcement since we are not opening the coin to mining until tomorrow.

We have been using http://tutor-web.info/smileycoin as our main info page. If there is a lot of info missing, then I would like to know what it is.

My confidence in your dedication to this coin is simply lost due to the lack of effort in your OP!

Sorry to hear that.
