So then officially, this coin is dead in the water before it left port?

I can't fathom the launch day of one of my products, and then so many hours after supposed launch, not even a public notice.  Does not seem like developers who give a shit, I don't have much faith even if it gets launched in 10 minutes that it will ever be taken seriously by the guys who are supposed to be in charge of it.

OP was online at 5 AM, I wonder why he hasn't written anything about the launch yet.

Could you give some more clues on what coin are you talking about?

Meanwhile, recycling of old memes continues. What's next, RickAstleyCoin? Or has somebody made that already?
People would never give that up!   .....ok I'm leaving now.

I am sure there is a rational reason why the launch is delayed. Don't be so quick to assume the worst in people.

Maybe.  But it does make you look a little bit like an ass when you publicly promise timelines and then fail to deliver, silently.

Considering what just happened with Coinye, have you guys spoken to the guy who owns the rights to Slender Man at all?

I know Valve had legal concerns about a trademark, have you cleared it?
Even if Eric Knudsen will give his blessing to Slendercoin, there still would be third-party trademark holders, so I don't see a way to clarify the situation. But, unlike Mr. West, Slenderman in a fictional character, and no one should be morally abused or offended by using Slenderman in some open-source program. And, despite the fact that Slenderman was created by Eric Knudsen and was copyrighted by some sided holders, it's a part of folklore, just like Sandman or Cthulhu. And in that point of view, there should be no barriers to use it (just do it artistically and with roleplaying, like the "Offerings to Chtulhu" does, lol).
I would just like to point out that all of the graphics are original and created by us. Also this coin will not share the same fate as Coinye as we are not directly breaching any copyright laws.
