I've been checking out the project and i must say i like(d) it.
As i had a stroll on the website i noticed that 500,000,000 SPHTX were apparently sold during the ICO, but only 350,000,000 can exist in total (stated on website). how can this possible?
500,000,000 is the grand total final supply, if I recall correctly you must take into account 30% tokens which are destined to "mining", the incentive that they are going to give to node validators when they will have their own blockchain. 30% of 500M is 150M, 500M-150M = 350M which is the amount circulating right now. Yes, they said they will deliver all the tokenomics soon, this mean how many tokens will be mined in how much time, inflation if any, etc

Currently there are no direct competitors as far as we know. There are some projects trying to do some of the things that SophiaTX can do, for example, projects trying to implement blockchain in the supply chain, which is just one of the things that SPHTX will be able to do, but there is no project trying to build an entire ecosystem like SPHTX.
The useful thing will be that you are going to be able to connect directly with other businesses and work together, send/receive information, etc etc, without needing a third party, and it doesnt matter which ERP you or the other company is using, as sphtx will connect everything together.
Also, there will be a marketplace where any developer can create and sell useful applications that any business can use

You should start by reading the whitepaper and then you can comeback if you have any question. All your answers can be found in the whitepaper, except about competitors, which is hard to tell because there are different approaches, so it is arguable.

SophiaTX is a token and has real use - this is very different other tokens available in market
I have a question regarding file storage. I know you mentioned that one of the differences of SophiaTX compared to other platforms is that it will be tailored for actual business use and therefore there is a need for off-chain file storage. Just wondering if you guys have decided on a method for that yet or if there has been any change in plans for securing data on the platform. And what technology will protect those data?
Well they are using DCore, and DCore combines DPoS with IPFS file sharing. Does that answer your question?
Crypto is a very volatile market. The global market itself is down 54% currently. Sphtx is down 78%.
I don't know what base price are you doing this math but sophiatx is brought profit more than 3x in ethereum.
If you bought 1 eth worth of it, you can sell it for 3.5 eth right now. If you bought with decent bonus, %10 more.
so more than one solutions can be used, but are users/businesses free to use alternatives? And what are SophiaTX integration capabilities?
