This was probably covered at some point, but it is difficult to look through 94 pages:

What is the projected power usage for SP-30 (for 120 and 240V)? I am in US.
I don't want to order it and then struggle to run it.
2500 - 2700, under clocked will be possible.
We offer hosting plan in the US

Hosting plan in US-is this $1200/3mo? I remember seeing something re WA, but only for people with =>30 SP-30.
WA hosting plan was posted somewhere for 290$ per month, 6 month commitment, 100$ setup cost.

This will be only available come summer, until now spondoolies can only help people with large orders get to DCs in the US.

The last difficulty adjust was the lowest in almost a whole year, since June 2013. Maybe we will reach a plateau before SP30 ships?

That's that I was thinking too. Besides Ants and SP10s is there anyone else shipping in big numbers?

KNC may start shipping neptunes any day now, they taped out in february.

There is no single indication about that.

Yes there is: The fact that they taped out in february. Chip fab only takes so long, it's been three month so they could receive the chips any day now. They have everything else ready, last fall they only needed a couple of weeks or so from they received the chips to when they started shipments.

Why do we discuss KNC at our thread ?

The facts:

1) They've TO at the beginning of March, not February. Don't believe everything you read in a press release
2) 20nm with double patterning takes 4-5 months for masks creations

Edit: Please continue KNC related discussion at KNC thread

Is it any solid evidence they taped out in Feburary?

I am sorry if I miss it somewhere, it is a huge KNC thread.

so im a home miner, purchased both the SP30 and SP10 group buys (thank you Spondoolies-Tech and RoadStress) , definitely not an electrician so maybe you guys can answer this for me..

im reading everywhere that we want 220V 30amp to run our sp30s, ive got an outlet pretty much 4 feet below my breaker box that i will probably get an electrician to flange me up the 220V / 30A with but since there are going to be two PSU's and two power cables, what if a person ran one to an outlet on its own 120V / 15A and the other to another separate 120V / 15A. If i could dedicate these outlets for only running an SP30 would it power it to its fullest? Would have to run a heavy duty extension cord from one of the outlets.

or should i stick with the electrician route? im not opposed to paying to have this done, just curious about everything and anything.

You will be good with a 30 amp 220, you can draw more than 6000 watts from that and your PSU's will stay cooler and run more efficient. Just get yourself a 30amp PDU and some c13-c14 power cables to connect your PSU to the PDU and you're golden. PDU is a fancy name for a big ass power bar. Make sure the outlet you install matches up to the plug type on the PDU you buy.

Most are Nema L6, and this is what the outlet looks like. http://www.grainger.com/product/LEVITON-Receptacle-1PKK1

The best deals on outlets and PDU's are on eBay by far. That $40 outlet can be found for $12 and PDU's for under $80.

That is not a good idea.  You should not put more than 80% load on a circuit, and particularly be cautious of the voltage (a 220V connection may drop to ~210V under high load, thus drawing more amps). An L6-30 outlet is typically rated for 4.992kW continuous load.

I was considering combining two 120v/15a cicuits into one 240v/30a circuit, but found out that my house is wired (mostly) with 14 gauge wire.
The electrician told me that this wire cannot handle more than 20-25A. 12 gauge wire 25-30A.

spondoolies-tech: can you post approximate power usage of sp30 at 120v (will two 15a circuits work for max constant 25A) and 240V?
Yeah you want 10/2 wire for 30 amp 240v.

They have an announcement planned for tomorrow regarding the Neptune.

Btw Spondoolies, I'm not a customer but the way you keep this community updated on your progress is commendable. Why can't all manufacturers be like your company? I hope you continue on this path and others start to emulate you.

~Seems every company is happy to give frequent updates when all they have is good news, its when something goes wrong that you really see the mettle of a bitcoin miner manufacturer  Undecided

they could...too many competitors eating their lunch
It is great time for miners-lots of choices and reasonable prices.

Does anybody have an idea about Sp-30 power use at 120v and 240V?

Black Arrow is selling 2th units.  (Technically 1th each, sold in pairs.  Anyone who preordered in their first batch gets an extra 1th.  So 3th shipping now.)  They also sell slower units, the X-1 but those had to be purchased in sets of 10.  So it's still over 2th I believe.  The X-3 is what is shipping soon.  The X-1 as well, but a little delay due to some board changes for that one.  Actually when overclocked they do 1.45th each but it depends on which board you get.  The early boards are fixed at 1.25th where the later boards are 1.45th.   So a lot of oomph is about to hit the network in the next week.  Not to mention they are racking their units for their own internal mining and hosting packages.  We don't have a clear number on how many those are.

And yes, Asicminer, there are so many of these it all gets jumbled together...  My mistake.

Black Arrow ships this week.  Today possibly.  They also shipped off a bunch of chips to third parties.

BFL is in their two-weeks mode but I think it's a safe bet they ship soon.  They are just down to software optimization now.

Activemining's chips were sent to Rockminer and they are shipping now.

And then, you know, KNC before the sun burns out...

So I wouldn't think a plateau.  I think it's about to spike.

BA is shipping 100Gh units. Considering that we are hashing at more than 60k TH they won't be noticeable.

I think you meant AsicMiner not activemining, but it's only 23k chips (each chip is at 12GH?) which would mean around 276TH IF they get the units sold, but I am reserved about that considering their high price per GH.

As for KnC I am expecting delays, but will see.

Cointerra just got to ludicrous speed

2th 12 mo contract for $8K...snickering.

You have to be an idiot to buy at that price.
