Or This:
I like the NASA background on it
Actually, that background was computer made in a program called spacescape.

I was planning on using this: http://coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu/system/avm_image_sqls/binaries/142/original/allsky-2mass.jpg?1373926530
But the quality was really bad in blender. I think I had a setting wrong or something but I didn't know how to fix it, so I textured the inside of a cube with images from spacescape.

Just new in here. Anyone can point me how to setup my own service node? Any tutorial?

Thanks!
We don't have any tutorials yet but we will. (When servicenodes actually get released). It may be a while before then, but not too long.
Looks like the price is stable at 0.00017 btc. I hope it stays that way.

If anyone is interested, I made a cool animation:

if you want to - i can setup a longer term render of it at a much higher res using blender ( under linux ) if you have the source for it ...

that is really kool mate ...

#crysx
Seriously!!?? That's awesome, thanks man.

Ok, i'll work a little more on it and then i'll give you the source, though it might be a few days.

I can just give you the .blend, right?

I found an awesome background for it too, it's from NASA.

yup - seriously ...

i was so heavily into 3d graphics and pure raytracing ( not scanline rendering like autocad at the time ) back when povray was THE opensource utility to use ...

i know fedora 23 x64 has blender in the repo - but i have no idea how to use it ... its been a long time since the days of povray Wink ...

so ill install it - and get started when you are ready mate Smiley ...

i had built a grid system a while back to process these images and animations on a very powerful multicomputer system grid ... it comprised of many many MANY computers linked up and processing as one machine with may cpus ... nowadays - gpus do the exact same thing in a single card ... Smiley ...

so if you up for it - i am to ... no matter how long the animation takes Smiley ...

#crysx

Wow. Thanks Crysx. So, how many samples can you do? The animation used 100 samples/frame (took around 22 seconds/ frame) and the image used 10000. So, 2000 seconds or 33 minutes. I think it was actually less than that, but yeah you get the idea. More samples = less noise = longer render time.

I am trying to bring the render time down but I really don't know how to, I am using portals and I think it is creating less noise but that's about it. If anyone can help, it will be appreciated.

im unsure how that would work with blender - but there was no way you could reduce image time in povray ... it rendered EVERY light ray and its consequences on the surfaces of each object perfectly ...

i built a grid based on the povray renderer and mpi - which cut the rendering time down by a HUGE amount ... but that was a while back - and i have no idea about how to do anything in blender ...

but these machines are on 24 / 7 - and the cpu time is almost completely free - as thefarm only uses the gpus to mine ...

let me know ...

#crysx

Wait, so you're going to use CPUs to render it? I used my R90 290X and it took pretty long. Both images took 20 minutes each.

Anyway, which looks better; (click on the image to see it larger)

Ok i have added a new tab at the bottom of the page to show what 50% of the coinbase paid to node hosts would look like.

Holy Spreadcoin!

Nodes will be providing all of Spreadcoin's use/features
Agree, nodes and miners are equally important in my opinion. SPR SN Network will be one of  the first networks that provide a multitude of services, never seen before. In the near future, it will become clear what those services will be. The decentralized nature means that node operators will be able to choose what they support and run, SPR is not dictating anything, even the price for running the nodes is defined by the market. Rather exciting!

That sounds to me like we need a variable distribution. As services generate income, there should be a switch to send more to miners?

Have I said this already?

Satoshi originally thought mining and nodes would be in one place. Your computer.

We now have nodes and mining software. They don't have to be in the same place.

Q. Should the coinbase for SPR be split 50/50 with nodes (sevicenodes) and miners to give recognition to the importance of both miners and a decentralised node network?

It's an interesting question, i'v thought about it myself.

Yes, is 'my' answer.

Nodes will be providing all of Spreadcoin's use/features and prices rises in the future. This is my logic, the thing is using this logic why not pay node hosts 60/40 or 70/30 lol. I'd be more than happy to see 50/50, but would be interesting to see what more people think?

Edit: I'll work on a spreadsheet incorporating 50% coinbase share.

Paying 10000 per spr now is stupid.

LOL

Did you miss what happened inbetween?

The price dropped below 7700, briefly. How do i know this? I had buy orders all the way down to 0.00004. The lowest buy order was 7700 Cheesy.

I hope the guy i said that to took my advise. He'd be laughing now, like me Tongue

Edit: The low infact was 7200 sats.

Whats with the flag? lol

Price Analysis And Projected Income From ServiceNodes

Image #1 - Today's chart Showing highs of 0.00020000
Huge volume over the past two months.

Image #2 - Spreadcoin hit new all time highs today since the takeover by georgem and the team.
A big congratulations to gerogem is in order!

Image #3 - Why I think spreadcoin's  price will go nuts
We are seeing more volatility and high volume. Servicenodes aren't even out in testnet and we see a marketcap of $400,000 or 0.00020000 sats. IMO a successful test and release of Servicenodes could bring a marketcap of around $1,300,000 - $1,800,000 or 0.0005 - 0.0007 (because of low liquidity). Servicenodes seem to be within reach and i think people know it... People know this could be huge.

Image #4 - Potential income from servicenodes is too good to ignore
We reached $0.085 per SPR today, which we can see at this price how much can be made from owning 10 Servicenodes

Image #5 - Lets adjust it for my prediction upon release of SN's
With an SPR price of $0.40 or $1,850,000 marketcap

Image #6 - Speculation on the price of Spreadcoin once PoBN is released
With an SPR price of $2.00
