What's the story with Poloniex? I have SJCX that have been sitting on there for a while. Do I need to manually convert to STORJ or will Poloniex do that themselves at some point?

Manually, see https://docs.storj.io/v1.1/docs/migrate-tokens-from-sjcx-to-storj

Please develop user friendly stand-alone client like Dropbox.

That is a requirement for mass adoption for sure Grin
This is the problem with all these projects, to move to another level fo mass adoption is a challenge, if we can get like 1 or 2 project it will create a path for others to follow.

Just wait for it Wink, There will be a announcement about this very soon.

And we are early adopters who will be richly rewarded one day..

More likely this one will be pumped so better stay focused on what is happening with project. It is too early to talk about shiny future, this depends on many factors now and some are not even related to this topic. But it is probably good to hold some coins just in case.

Let's discuss about economy. There are farmers who have to sell their token for btc.
How about buyer side? Who have to buy STORJ month by month?
The slide of token price makes me little by gloomy.
Those who need centralized storage will buy it on market and will pay you for this space. Its simple.
it says 950% up on Bittrex what happened here?
good point mate im also trying to find out how this system can be profitable or coin holders since the coin can be mine using the hard drive
as i also wanted to learn how to work it out then suddenly something is forcing me to think twice since i don't see real uses of this project
as we still waiting for the full blast of development.
Maybe we should give it time before too early conclusions. I don't know for project which providing blast of updates and news..This is coding and 90% of work is debugging and testing..
1000% increase why the pump?

Trading has stopped, AFAIK, on SJCX. But if you hold any you can trade them in 1:1 for STORJ.
STORJ is the real token now, and going forward.

Thanks for your fast answer. So, if I got it right, there should be no difference between both coins and the price should be always the same otherwise there is anomaly or misinterpretation in the market, right?

I'm currently inform myself about blockchain projects that allow data to be stored decentralized in the cloud.

By doing the research I come up with two different coins / projects which have similar names; StorJ and Storjcoin X.

Can someone explain the exact difference? For me it seems as if the two projects / coins are equal?

They're the same project.

Storj Labs decided to transfer the counterparty SJCX tokens to ERC20 tokens issued on the Ethereum network. The reasons for making this change are that Bitcoin fees are too high, and that it often takes exceedingly long times for transactions to be confirmed. The conversion from SJCX to STORJ will be done on a 1:1 ratio.

Maybe it is the good moment to invest ?  Huh
just keep reading back and trace how this coin works now so you can assess to yourself if this is worthy to invest with, i think its just a matter of
researching before you will know what would be the future of such project. careful buds its your hard earned money to invest with.
