Shouldn't it be obvious by now? The dev has set up nodes and started mining instantly. For a few hours at least his miners will have direct access to the previous mined block so his is the one that has the most chance of getting accepted.
Wait for the likes of Blastbob to get some foothold and then roll in. I of course have my address ready to get the giveaways.
