We are just sorting out pools guys. Still a few who have not updated as they should have. Means there are still a lot of bad nodes on the network and this is causing issues

Was talking to Dano on the chat, very weird. I did a complete new install of the coin, have only one node with connect= but still it hangs on block 1759

I have deleted all of the FUD, lies, misinformation, and spam from earlier pages. They were being posted by the same 5 users. This is a huge project, some people don't seems to understand that- if you think the syscoin commands (via help) are the "same as almost all coins"... you are incorrect. Please compare the command lists and you will clearly see this.

Regarding hiring devs/PMS (project managers) etc- yes we fully plan on doing this. We don't have any funding at the moment as we're waiting for things to really be "sound" on the network before we get ANY BITCOINS FROM THE PRESALE. We used about 15BTC on Mintpal to provide buy support, the remaining 234.5 were returned to Moolah this morning as soon as I was aware of the issues and we immediately got to work.

We spent about 18hrs fixing this issue today. I realize there are still wallet relaunch/crash issues but this does NOT lose your coins or data. You may need to resync at the worst; this is related to a bug with RESCAN command which we will fix. I have not said this was flawless at all. People seem to think we have 1500btc and "we could have done so much better with that much money".... we have no money. Moolah has it. They will hold it til this is all right. I didn't need to send back the BTC this AM- it was the right thing to do.

People did not pay attention to our announcements throughout the day about the fork so many were very slow to update their client leading to multiple forks. These are being resolved now if they aren't resolved already. The team has a list of items to work on. We have additional devs helping us out for FREE at the moment because they can see the code and understand the potential here soon as these bugs are ironed out.

Our next big push will be to upgrade the codebase to the 0.9.2 bitcoin codebase as it brings many improvements (in building and testing as well). We will also port any appropriate Litecoin/Namecoin fixes into Syscoin. Despite all the FUDing today and the issues, we are still here to make this a success- there are plenty of very coherent and salient posts from other users about what happens with new innovative product launches- even from megamillion dollar companies like Microsoft (remember windows vista?). We are 6 devs with zero funding at the moment aside from what our dayjobs provide. Soon as the client is stabilized to the satisfaction of the community (our work is not done) we'll have the BTC from Moolah and can work to hire a fulltime team to move this forward in parallel with us.

I've apologized multiple times for the issues yesterday and today. The only thing we can do as a team is to rapidly improve the wallet over this week- which we will do.

First I've seen of this message and it's a decent one, but the bigger concern now beyond wallet fixes is whether there will be hidden bugs and how this  coin will be managed going forward and by whom. Your team needs to do something beyond wallet band-aids that gives the market confidence that you've addressed the management shortcomings that led to this failure, and that this coin will be better managed going forward -- basically, that there wont ever be anything like this launch fiasco again. This isnt just about wallet band-aids any more.

And note, when big companies like Microsoft and Apple have disastrous launches (apples map app fiasco comes to mind), people get fired. A message is sent to the entire organisation that fiascos like that arent tolerated. And a message is sent to the markets that the fiasco wont be repeated.

A lot of good coins but I'm stuck with this shit. :/

Nobody forced you to spend your BTC on anything.  Investor beware?  Dump now or ride it out.

what about the people that has their coins stuck at 0/6 confirmations  Undecided I sent 100 coins, they were confirmed 1. so i sent 300k in the second minute and they are stuck. i got the 100 coins tho. what should we do now? I suppose they are gone.

They can be recovered if spent on another chain.

Dump private keys and re-import them.

PM me if you need help.

i have sent them. its so weird.

my own addresses are SWQNpJumnfuxL24L1teKDP6WmgiortzECJ and SWQNpJumnfuxL24L1teKDP6WmgiortzECJ

I importprivkey them both. then I sent first 100 coins to http://sys.coinzone.info/address/SX4iXzrJ8RkXkQRRtyf7yKJ1F3AdDEMWuA

then I sent another 300K coins.

here is weird part

the 100 transaction shows

Time is Money - Benjamin Franklin

I was mostly referring to random shit like "scambust" or "sainf" are writing. Problem are expected in a launch of any coin of this complexity. Bitcointalk is a known cesspit of the crypto community, so I didn't expect anything but exaggeration and whining kids.

P.S.

Just downloaded the wallet and put this in the .conf file:

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

Everything is working so far, I'm on the correct fork. If people can't even copy/paste the right lines, what would you expect from them?
And you know, the wallet refuses wont restart once you are on the correct fork? So no, people can and are doing the copy/paste, but the non-working wallet after 24+ hrs of launch is causing the issue. So I think people do have the right to get mad.

if you cant get the wallet to load, back up your wallet.dat and delete everything else.

Download the zip file to your desktop and run the syscoin wallet from the folder you unzipped, once the files are repopulated in your /Roaming/syscoin folder, copy over the wallet.dat and syscoin.conf file only using these nodes.

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

dont screw with any of the nodes in that huge list, just stick with those.  Make sure you delete everything and start over with your backed up wallet.dat

If you add that big list after you get synced up, you can lose your ability to load the wallet and have to start over.

This will get you on the correct fork.

Tried this on Linux but stuck on block 1759

Track record speaks for itself. LOLZ

I didn't realize we were stuck at a block.  SUNCoin had a similar issue a few months back.

seems to happen fairly often and yeah, nothing gets done about it. I've pulled it down off my pools.

Fud

Not really meant to be but, taking 2 weeks to get 3 confirms on a deposit to cryptsy sucks. This isn't the fir
st time. Facts not fud.

Fud. Kitteh!!!

Hello all,

does the blockchain keep getting stuck? I've been mining @ http://meow.pitythepool.com/. When I GPU mine here everything seems fine....throw asic at it and payouts stop Sad

Anyone know whats happened with meow.luckyminers.com? Pool has been offline for days and I had about 1/2M coins sitting there Sad

Thanks.

Poor Kitteh...Shame no one will take over...oh well, that's how the market works I guess....

nobody does anything? kitteh is officialy death? any developer can tell us the plans?

Hi,
its been awhile since I posted here.  I have been busy with work, and my life.  I have to say that i still intend to buy some more coins.  And address the issues of the coin single handedly, myself if I have to...  My goal is to use the coins as game tokens in an adventure game that I am going to design.  Some of this has been done.  But, considering I am working by myself, and don't know very much code, this will take some time.

The western market has given up on kitteh.  Asia still might be a place to explore.  I am going to develop a game platform and see if I can get kitteh integrated into the mobile network thats where I am coming from.  I designed some new web related stuff, but most of it is now irrelevant due to the constant implosion of the coin.  The Fact is you can still send a coin anywhere in the world, the question now becomes... "why"...  these are things I think about.

I am not a developer, we all are.  I ask for help and I get very little response.  There are 5+ people that are working on this for no $, there is plenty of projects that can be worked on.  But, i understand its difficult to get involved in something that appears to be going no where.  Thats why Dan and the rest of the team left to start SYSCOIN, leaving a vacuum that created an implosion.  I am not going to give up, though I will be adjusting the priorities in my life to suite a better and more positive environment.  Feel free to find me, and DM for more information.

Regards

Rodux

It would be cool if there was a relaunch of kitteh, but I feel like this thread has pretty much been abandoned.

I've been watching Syscoin from the very beginning (although I didn't invest in the IPO).

I have to say that most of you guys are impatient, quick to judge idiots. People here witnessed only hundreds of identical launches of Bitcoin/Litecoin clones, where devs were only capable of adding 10 lines of code and changing a few variables. SysCoin is one of the first altcoins with a completely new set of features on top of the basic Litecoin code (I mean seriously, even the mining part has been improved). Do you guys realise how complicated is it to even make a coin merge-mineable with everything else? I didn't expect the launch to be smooth, a big software project always will contain a handful of bugs.

But what's wrong with this world is you, people who're constantly trolling here. You didn't even bother to read the [ANN] or check the Syscoin website. Most of you have no idea who's on the dev team (while all info was on the website for weeks). You can't even do simple math. I've seen countless kids in every thread here, the behaviour pattern is 100% the same. What a bunch of clinical idiots this forum became Grin

I don't think you have any idea what's happened here - people who actually did buy this coin (not guys like you who are parachuting in from a high horse with no stake in the issue whatsoever) were misled about the capability of this team and the quality of the work. The weekend-long ordeal of this untested, haphazard launch was far below minimum standards for *any* coin launch. It is one of the worst I've ever seen. People had a right to expect a lot more out of a 1500BTC project. At the very least, this team massively overpromised what they could deliver and misrepresented their capabilities.

They're STILL overpromising: They promised to band aid the wallet within a day, and people are *STILL* reporting problems on this very page. A solid wallet was supposed to be released on the 16th, Saturday. It's Monday, with no end in sight. And no confidence that even when a fix is announced that there wont be other, potentially more serious, hidden problems.

I was mostly referring to random shit like "scambust" or "sainf" are writing. Problem are expected in a launch of any coin of this complexity. Bitcointalk is a known cesspit of the crypto community, so I didn't expect anything but exaggeration and whining kids.

P.S.

Just downloaded the wallet and put this in the .conf file:

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

Everything is working so far, I'm on the correct fork. If people can't even copy/paste the right lines, what would you expect from them?

The crypto scene has become a joke, and I think most people would agree. When a good coin is indistinguishable from a scam coin, and coins pump and dump on whatever bullshit jokers are tweeting about them at the moment, it becomes insulting to anyone with 2 brain cells to keep playing this game when its so obviously fixed.

MMM kids..you are right there are kids doing the dev work. 4 months ago a promise was made by the team telling us about there wonderfull new product. They wrote pages and pages about it telling everyone that they had a wonderfull new product they want people to invest in.No one knows them, dont care who they are and why should we invest in a product and trust anyone...its open source....So did they do what they said no. Did they bring out this wich they promised in the time barrier they promised...NO.... so yes everyone is frustrated. Because there are idiots who had 4 months to test write code and put out what they said...If this was a company and I was buying a product and it was faulty...tell me what would happen? There would be a case made against the company...can you do it in this case, NO. so the idiot who wrote how good they are and how foolish people and unpatient they are...The only person who is an idiot sir is.....YOU
