I have been focused on learning about the new Synereo blockchain that doesn't exist yet. I was into Ethereum 2.0 but the lead developer says Etheruem 1.0 has too much technical debt to really make Ethereum 2.0 as good as he wants it to be. In the end he is making a new blockchain for Synereo.

Hopefully that blockchain will be useful for #420jfa

That's the spirit of the place.  If #420jfa goes for a unified currency then it will likely have to be some kind of asset ... (low overhead on network costs) ... that said if I can swing it would love to run a #420jfa index fund ... eta is still +12months out ... btc has to do its 'halving' and the 2.0s are still vague/vaporware.

To repeat ... #420jfa is about building multiple independent solid blockchain/networks FIRST.  The derivative stuff comes later.

In a way that is what DOPE is positioned to do, but as a local private club, CANN could go that direction too if it can't deliver on the POS just stays POW best to go for a more private maintained chain that caters to an exclusive club.

Raising new capital via new chain launches is a no go ... imo.  

Raising new capital via asset platform is a maybe ... but even NXT is showing cracks and might fade into obscurity ... so choosing a platform that works and will be around for years is not as simple as I was hoping.

imo ... focus is keeping the networks that are up and running staying up and running until end of this summer before plotting more on the investment strategies ... in the meantime ... a decent roadmap / white paper project ought be drafted to guide the direction of future #420 asset launches.

re: accelerator

i suggest reframing DOPE, CANN, and perhaps others as 'exclusive clubs'.  POT still has a shot at the majors and being more of a greater network effect ... reason ... polo trade listed.  BLZ is still under the radar, and BONGer the same, but these might become pegs ... aka pseudo side chains of fixed value.  i am not familiar with the current status of canna or mj or grow or thc or hemp    (feel free to comment on their states)

ps .. like STV too ... my wish is that it is initially backed with killer seed stock

the easiest way to beta test #420 'exclusive club' is via some kinda of membership subscription, that can then kickstart a promotional website/team, and eventually a full throttle accelerator.

We could also start a private club or something. You need to pay each month to be a member. Then you are allowed in our exclusive club. You get in at any of the locations around the world. Everything is digital and blockchain.

if I name the sectors of focus:

-the kiosks that grow to become brick and mortars
-the #420 promoters team aka #420 marketing team (for all legit coins & leading assets)
-grow ops / product ops (#420 manufactured goods)
-accelerator for weed/tech companies (kick starters)

in terms of VC gains ... accelerator for weed/tech companies ... already in play in penny stocks (even wall st) ... and also likely the easiest to bootstrap and buildup in the cryptospace too.

i would suggest working with the crypto platforms already being built (smart contracts, assets, dex) ... so work with the tools currently available.

Next ... the first project to fund would be a website (webtool) that helps track and trade of the #420 startups ... aka ... an accelerator.

personally would like to see something that allows
1. round1 ... launch of $10 startups (simply pitches)
2. that gets turned into a rough business plan
3. round2 $100-$1000 raised ... full scale plan, branding, website, etc
4. round3 +$10k raised ... roadmap, revenue projections, executives, managers, partners attach to the project
5. round4 IPO level, raise money for employees, and start making products

 

We could start a decentralized accelerator for weed/tech companies. Weed/tech companies could come to us to accelerate their business with our knowledge. They could pay us $USD or give us stock in their companies.

There are tons of ideas we could pursue.

We are doing well. We have 3 legendary members right now. dopecoindude will be legendary soon and then we will have 4. I am sure any of us 4 could speak with high confidence on blockchain subjects discussed at conferences or on a panel.

still worth looking into 'smart contract' crowd funding, i'm not up to speed on 'TheDAO' and i sense you are correct in that the platform is regulated and controlled.

#420 promotions team is a nice idea
1. start with a 'paid' director (like $500/m) to establish a program and get some solid contacts
2. scale up increase the director pay once a reliable and talented person has proven the position by 'proof of work'
3. hire a few more people with marketing skills
4. basically done, got a marketing/promotions team, perhaps a formal physical office (likely at a brick a mortar already selling #420 goods)
5. there should be 'board' oversight the whole way, hence this 'TheDAO' claims to offer something that does that.

I might be wrong but I think there is a 0.0000001% chance we can use TheDAO to raise funds. I believe it is controlled by Ethereum. Projects must get white-listed. Only projects that help Ethereum will get white-listed. Ethereum also controls marketing for it and they hold a massive stake in it. They pretty much control which projects get funds.

Whatever we do we need to sell the story to investors. We need people to be out in public, in magazines, at conferences and doing video interviews. Ethereum did a good job with this. They took out a $150,000 loan for their team to travel the world selling people on the idea. Then they raised money. Now it is even more expensive to promote crypto stuff because other people are figuring out this secret sauce to raising funds.

If we can build up a network of users through out all the crypto hot spots then we can maybe get all this promotion stuff done for cheap since we wouldn't have to be flying around the world.

why not?  TheDAO is hot and trending ... launch a few things see if they take off ... Legal weed production likely the least cost prohibitive ... more o less just baking some snacks or distilling some syrups.

Weed vending machine.
Weed social network.
Weed accessories, brick and mortar stores.
Legal weed production. Weed drinks, hash, buds, candies.


The main thing I have learnt is we need a public community to raise funds. We need a small amount of funds. Not much. If we have 50 people who all put in 1 BTC. We could get enough money to pay to be on TV shows, get in magazines, speak at conferences, etc.

I want to get a marijuana DAO $MDAO going on. It will be the same as TheDAO $DAO. We submit proposals for how to make $MDAO holders a return. Then they vote which one to do.
