Hey, the network has been much better over the past week. I'm getting lots of stakes. I think there is a new wallet release coming down the line. I'm sure the dev will look into this. Thanks for the input rdyoung : ) welcome to the ccn forums

I bring it up because POTcoin faces the same issue and the devs refuse to release an updated wallet. I am 90% responsible for keeping POTcoin at the 2160 blocks/day with a wallet I created to do so. I have considered doing the same with Cannacoin but do not want to waste my time on a coin if the devs arent aware and responsive to issues such as this. You can't have a coin that is used by merchants if you have regular blocks with hours between them.

Are the devs aware that the split threshold is set to 50% of the coins total supply?
This high split threshold is also why the coin is seeing only 100 or so blocks/day versus the 1440/day it should be.
I would suggest either lowering the threshold to 500 or implementing the custom threshold code from other coins like hyperstake.

If a few people got together and soft forked it, then yes. There is no need for a hostile takeover, and no need for many updates to the core code at the moment, aside from getting more people using a lowered threshold. If someone could integrate the set your own threshold code from another coin in place of the fixed one thats in the wallet now, we could all do a push to get people to use the new wallet and get the # of competing inputs to climb and take the difficulty with it.
I will be launching a new staking pool sometime today. I need to make myself write out the copy and the launch info and get the word out. This pool along with letsgetstaking.com will happily host the updated wallets for mac and windows. I am also thinking over what LGS can do to promote certain coins, with pot maybe being the first.
If someone out there has an easy way for me to host a potcoin or other pos coin faucet I will happily do so as well.

Maybe figure out how a shop could take most if not all weedcoins at the same time. A weedcoin payment processor or something. I am more the idea and some money man, others that are more adept at the programming and implementation can take that lead.

Wow! that idea just blew my mind.
Many States have gone 'green' more will go 'green' ... look at the Colorado buget surplus ... but 'the biz' legality (read banks / FED / the real narco kingpins) is still 'grey' ... now add crypto as a solution ... anyone anywhere can micro invest in Cannabis projects with the click of a mouse and hold the security themselves.
