I like Carsen, even if he calls me an idiot :-)
I don't think I made a mistake in hiring him to work on the coin originally. He did a good job - I have no complaints.
I made a couple mistakes though. I should have researched his reputation first. That was mistake #1. I still would have hired him, but I would not have staked him with 200k TOR. That was a big mistake. Completely my fault. That was mistake #2. He has 150k TOR left, and if he dumps it then the price would take a dive again. Not really a big deal for the longterm prospects of the coin, but it would hurt the speculators.
The problem with Carsen is that he is a short-term thinker and doesn't quite understand what it means for a cryptocurrency to have value - which is why he likes to pump the coin and them sell it off. That was never my plan for TorCoin and it never will be.
Again, I like Carsen, and I think he did a good job with the initial work, but it's definitely a good thing he has left the project.
I'm already in discussions with some new devs, but always taking applications for additional devs. I also have plenty of other projects and can keep devs busy.
