Its not thought as he blocks them out and will just stop the whole system until they're gone so far if you've read the previous pages. He has some kind of thing going on here where he's definitely able to block out higher hashrates but not sure if that's just slows down asics or what would love to hear from the dev again soon for an update on that situation.

So far I don't have any major gripes with it I actually mined a fair bit with a CPU early on so it definitely was legit for that.

well it's just scrypt, so no cpu will not work there is some asics protection but not sure if thats even possible.

so the algorythm is basically just scrypt and were meant to be able to mine with our cpu's
