Looks like they are "re-doing" their site and kicking out coins. hoc, kor, bat, zs, lot, flt, flap, bea, alb, ngc, thor, and yes our wonderful TRL. DRK owners are complaining they cant withdraw. Odd. Guys dont keep your coins on any exchange unless you have to. Keep moving forward!

I'm guessing 500-1000 will put us just under 1 billion per year (although I could be way off because I can't math.) I think it's a fair change which will be good for the adoption and use of the coin long term. What we want to avoid (and I believe we are avoiding it) is the current situation with scamcoins where they say "80million total coins, 1k per block" etc, then lower max coins to 20mil and drop the block reward sharply. I know nobody here has even mentioned that, but I just want to assure newcomers this won't happen.
right, this is simply to prolong the life to mine, here are the calculations I made for the block rewards in its current state
we are at block 72,720 at the time of this post, so the next rewards reduction is coming soon.
I'm gonna throw out a few ideas to see what you think. How do you guys feel about a short boost in block reward as the new wallet hits?, sort of an incentive (& wallet update celebration) for new miners to get in & mine some serious coin as we did during launch, say back to 50,000 trl for 10,000 blocks, then droppping it back down & continuing the reduction?
The new wallet can be released a couple weeks to a month at the most is my rough guess.

BTW, looks like I'm the only one voting on mintpal anymore. Yeah it's a long shot, but if we don't try, we will never have a chance of making it to the top.

So unless I'm wrong, the current final block reward of 5000 would release 1.29 billion coins per year until done, ur right, 5 would be kinda ridiculous. How about 500? I have to sit down and make a chart of how many coins will be minted at each point, how much time has elapsed and we can tweak if from there

The updates I have asked him to do are:
Logo & icon update
Heartbleed fix (if applicable)
Block rewards tweak
Making sure the false positive from virustotal gets taken out
Anything else we need?
I'm talking to a guy from the grumpycoin thread who could do the wallet update for us. I'll invite him in here so we can discuss things openly.

Important stuff,
I want to get everyone's input on the block reward tweak for the upcoming new wallet. Right now the last block reward ends at 5000, this will deplete the 9billion too fast imo so I propose we continue the reward halving all the way down to 5trl for the final block reward.
Also, as an incentive to get new miners involved I propose we bump up the rewards temporarily from 25000 to 100,000 for about 100 million coins worth of blocks.
I'll post details of my proposal later today.

5 is way too low. Why would anyone mine at that point? With 9 billion total coins, I don't see 5 coins per block being worthwhile. Also, what is the current time-frame for "depletion"?
