An email service?! 

I've been working on getting TRONmail.org running and serving free client side encrypted email service for anyone, we'll see how it goes from there. Site isn't live yet.

Heres the deal. All Tron has to do is find some minimally profitable avenue. The coin count is small, the stake reward is really small compared to the other POS coins. If theres was an application for tron to make a profit the coin value would skyrocket.

He is around, but working solo on the project now.  He has stated having some plans, and ideas going forward we just haven't seen those develop any traction yet.

TRON was funded by a large chinese investor and a team of about 8 to 10, who eventually all moved onto other things (as is usual in crypto but I was hoping for different this year) ... I was left with all the work and I would still like to turn it into something positive. Perhaps I should just give up instead, but I really wanted something big for TRON, at that time there was a lot of money and people also hyping me up. Positron is the only coin I've developed this year, I've been contacted for contracting jobs doing coin development but so far haven't taken any of them, this year. I sometimes freelance things like fixing broken coins or assisting with forks and tech problems, and keep those confidential. I haven't even bothered to mine many coins this year, its usually not worth the time anymore.

TRON was hyped way more than I ever expected, and with the lack of sleep and frenetic working pace, I got wrapped into the hype just as much. At the time I was given a lot of resources and a large amount of BTC to use to pay contractors and other people to work on the project. Eventually the largest holders seemed to decide the market wouldn't keep afloat, or planned it all along. I doxed myself because at the time I believed in the investors and the people I was working with, that we were gonna build something great. I worked on collecting peoples real names and pictures to put as members on a website and everyone was also excited to be doing something that felt like a tech startup, and great ideas flowed around. Then the whales started dumping,  through my own supports multiple times until I lost any profit I had made from TRON, then investor pulled the funding and support. Most of the people that had been so excited started dumping also and left to go work on other things. Now it's just me and the Slack idlers, and I'm still going to try to make something of the project. There isnt much interest in it for now, and thats OK but I dont want to just let it die. There wasn't much interest at all in the last plans and I'm still considering entirely changing the project. It started as my own independent project, and then investors became involved later, even though it bubbled and now is in serious despair like most alt cycles, I will keep working on it because I feel like it's mine.

since it wasn't CW himself who posted, I'll take a moment to reply to you: to be honest, forget it... I was thinking about some good arguments but I decided to not put any effort into a detailed response. It is your good right to defend him and to believe in what he is doing.
Just to protect people, especially those new to crypto with no background information at all of how the whole mess works behind the scenes (P&D, nice roadmaps, fake volume, hyping with fake accounts etc. etc. etc. ), please let us agree that in terms of achievements in the cryptocurrency scene, Cryptowest is a nobody. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that you could give him credit for at this point.
Let me know one single technical advancement in crypto that stems from him.
Let me know one project in crypto that he stuck to and that is still in good shape with a reasonable market cap.
Feel free to keep believing in his talent, but please be fair to all those newbies, put up a red flag and let the people know that Cryptowest has not delivered anything considerable yet. Who knows, maybe he will in the future......... Let's agree that an investment into Cryptowest's projects has anything but good odds to succeed. Feel free to disprove me with facts, please. If you can't, stop defending someone who cooperates with a few questionable btc-whales who know how to pump a coin and exit with a profit at the cost of those who have no clue that the whole fucking story presented with nice graphics from CW himself isn't substantial but artificial.

David is definitely not a scammer, he's as genuine a dude as you're going to find. The thing is, no matter how hard you mean spirited fucks fud him, insult him, and question his every move, he always responds in a reasonable, measured, honest way.  Crypto needs more people like him - not hate filled, greedy, do nothing's.   

I'm confident that Dave will find a new direction to take this project in to build a legitimate, long-standing, company that has benefit for people.

But you are like 90% of so called "entrepreneurs". They lose steam after they hyped themselves into something they can't cope with because of their poor skills. You belong exactly into that category. Stop telling people shit about being dedicated to TRON. You launch coin after coin and go for quick bucks with scamming people. I bet that you have been involved with at least 6-7 coins in the last 3 months.

I've been talking to a dev who wants to remain anonymous right now, but is interested in helping out.

I've also had offers of collaboration from the HYPER team and two marijuana coins.

Yes, with just myself as the main dev, it's a lot of work. And there was no ICO or crowdfunding for anything in TRON (which is why im working off another open source project for the encrypted email right now, they raised $550,000 to develop it, which I don't have) so i have to work some real-life freelance gigs too. That means sometimes development will sometimes be slow, but always ongoing.

I'm working on getting some new things together for this week and will try to have daily updates. I want to keep this project alive and make something good and appreciate the vocal support.

I agree, nice movement yesterday but it does look like a pnd. I like the fact that it is a more transparent system though without those Directors forum which I never believed in.
My main worry is what can be achieved by only 1 dev.

Surprised, i will say nice work/could be promising.  But honestly for now it just looks like another pnd for now at least until it resettles.
