There's also no mining (which spend valuable resources), resistance to loss of up to 10% blocks and resistance to 51% attack.
In fact, at the moment there are many projects with an improved transaction speed within the network. It seems to me that over time, if bitcoin does not realize the same characteristics, then projects such as Universa and the like may have a chance to take the leading positions in the overall market capitalization!
I think BTC is a kind of reserve crypto at the moment. Like USD. We can blame the US economics for being overheated and overcredited, but USD is the reserve currency now. We can also blame Bitcoin network for being comparatively slow and exspensive, but BTC is still the reserve crypto and I think will be in this status for several years at least.
