Always to the fullest always to the max!
I forget how many days I mined. Maybe it was 3 days, maybe it was 2.
I mined 160000 coins with a R9 290X doing some 750K ash / sec.

I bought 4,Radeon HD 7950's based on the initial results.

The network hash rate was 50 Megahash/sec when I started mining. It was up to about 100 megahash/sec on Thursday IIRC.  It was up to 500 megahash/sec on Friday night, IIRC. It was up to 1 gigahash/sec on Saturday when I stopped that round of mining.

To the guy who said that it isn't the USDE dev team responsibility. That is nonsense. No reasonable person would have two projects for the same coin on github at the same time. Your new project doesn't even show up in the search results.  How is someone even supposed to find this thread?  I found it belatedly, after many problems, through the  same search engine that you aren't responsible for.

If you at these transactions  http://acumensoftwareinc.com/missing_usde.txt, everyone had between 6000 and 8000 confirmations.  How can you look at that many confirms and say you did a good job getting the word out?

The fact that the block explorer doesn't work doesn't work, doesn't lend credibility to this project or crypto currencies in general.

I got two tahiti xt cards and it took me a month to mine 160k so don't be disappointed.

If you want to blame someone for this blame the pool owners.   It happened to me too with usde, doge, and other coins on various pools.  When a coin experiences a chain fork on purpose it is usually known weeks in advance.  If the pool owner doesn't come here to check what's up with the coin, it means he doesn't care.  You can't be blaming the devs here, just your search engine skills, sorry bro that's just how it is.  Even if you were mining with the proper wallet it wouldn't have mattered when the mistake was on the pool side.

With 1 R9 290X you would never get near 160.000 coins in 2-3 days, unless you indeed were on the wrong blockchain.
On the right chain around the same time you mined you would maybe get 5.000-10.000 coins per day at most.
So yes, it is a shame you were mining on the wrong chain, but you did not really lose 160.000 coins, 'only' ~10.000-20.000 coins (still enough).

I have 3 7970s pulling about 1500k/sec, I didn't even hit 160k in 3 days.

Not sure how it took you so  long to find this thread, I googled USDE and this thread is the 2nd result on my list, right below the department of education, which obviously has nothing to do with coins, and then after that, usd-e.com, so I'm not sure what google you're using.

I downloaded a wallet on March 5.
git clone https://github.com/USDE/USDE.git
This was the link from https://github.com/USDE/USDE

I mined 160000 coins in the days just prior to March 7.
I mined through hash-to-coins.com.
The 160000 coins were sent to GdrYLkPJQfe7xjEFQkYibwLBpJPC6D2TpY
They appeared in my wallet and all seemed good.
Here are the transactions: http://acumensoftwareinc.com/missing_usde.txt

This is my first experience mining, trading and collecting cryptocoins,
and it exceeded all of my expectations.
I was up till about 1:00 Am Friday March 7 buying mining equipment.
I bought over $1000 in video cards.

I was not yet able to check the transaction ID's (blockchain explorer is not working for me at the moment) but I am pretty sure I cannot find them anymore as they were on the wrong chain.
I am sorry to see that you lost a large quantity of coins.

But, then again, you would never have been able to mine that many coins if you were mining on the right blockchain!
You say you downloaded the wallet on March 5th and that you mined 160.000 coins just prior to March 7th.
Unless you have a very big mining farm for this, this is just not possible when mining on the good chain.
Reading the last part of your quote where you bought $1000 in video cards I assume you did not have this at the time.

The above is not meant to be rude, but most likely you were only able to mine 160.000 coins in such short time because you were mining in a pool which was on the wrong chain (<1 diff).

What was your hash rate at the time (or else the GPU you were using) and how many days did you exactly mine before the 7th?

Cryptonankee - your trusted USDe servant
Supercodebunny,

Sorry to hear you ran into issues. We have advertised the fact that we have moved into a different github due to a change in core developers. The updated project github has been posted to our Web Site and the first page of this ANN thread about 17,500 blocks ago. Most pools and exchanges had been notified of this fact with ample notice to update before the 91k block Kimoto Gravity Well and the most recent 107,500 superblock removal updates kicked in.

That said, we recognize that some will use search engines rather than relying on up to date information on this thread, to get to places. Please e-mail [email protected] and we will see what we can do to help you out. There is no good reason to blame us for google results. We do hope you'll stick around and use pools listed here on the first page of this thread. We are working closely with pool operators to make sure that only up to date pools are posted.

Sincerely,
The USDe Team

This was my previous post:

my old wallet had some 160000 coins in it.
I backed it up of course, before I upgraded the wallet.
After the upgrade, my old 16000, are not there,
but some 5000 coins from recent mining suddenly appeared.

How can I get my old coins to appear ?

Thanks

Last night I followed the link at the beginning of the announcement
https://github.com/usde-project/USDE

THERE ARE TWO USDE SITES ON GITHUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOGLE PINTS TO THE OTHER SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody who goes through Google will get the first link.
this has a totally different git URL
git clone https://github.com/usde-project/USDE.git

git log on the second repository shows a totally different set of code.
The main developer raminnoodle <[email protected]>, seems to have disappeared from the new fork.

I see this surprising note in the git log:
commit 5f2b64eab4af6d249fcc9e5cebaade91357fa13b
Author: usde
Date:   Tue Mar 4 21:55:52 2014 -0500
    remove random rewards

Most of my coins were from random blocks.

From the dates involved, I infer that both  hash-to-coins.com and I were on the wrong fork,  my 160000 coins don't exist, and the all the time money I have spent, was based on misinformation.

hash-to-coins.com isn't answering my emails, and their hashrate is almost 0 now.
I am guessing this mess just put them out of business, because no one will mine through them.

Just to repeat:
ANYONE WHO SEARCHES FOR USDE ON GIT HUB WILL GET THE OLD WALLET!
THERE ARE TWO USDE PROJECTS ON GITHUB!!!!

Could someone tell me how to tell if these transactions were on the new fork of the blockchain, or the old?
http://acumensoftwareinc.com/missing_usde.txt

This whole situation has me really stressed out.

When did you mine/buy/get the 16000 coins you had before.
If just recent I assume it was on the wrong chain and therefore they are not there anymore, while the 5000 you did not see before are now visible.
