Yeah, their rating is way above average and their social media outlets keep buzzing with activities. A project to keep an eye out for.

There is alot of hype about Vanig at the moment wit there impressive GUI - I hope we can see them grow - their telegram is as busy as ever too

I am sure that it will be huge successful in e-commerce. Lot of the people are expecting too much from Vanig and that I know Vanig will be achieve his target soon.

People always seem to have unrealistic demands for things like this, people need to balance their expectations with what’s realistic. People sit their talking about crushing amazon or alibaba but personally I’d be happy if the project just gets off the ground is successfully trading at volume and gets off the ground

Reviews will always be hard I think they should make it sort of self correcting with people able to say if they think a review is genuine or not. In addition thanks to the immutability they can enforce that only buyers can review

Maybe fake reviews exist but there are measures by amazon to combat those like a review is only made by someone who made a purchase. I understand the centralized nature of Amazon might be a concern; but i don't think it is a major problem. However I am curious to see how Vanig will approach that?

There was a major issue with fake reviews on Amazon not that long ago. There's companies that sell 'Reviews' so it can very missleading to consumers when a product is 5/5 in reviews, but realistically is a 1/5 for quality.

I think it would be great if VANIG gets rid of that, people watch reviews to maybe invest in something and if it is fake they can lose a lot.

I dont understand your point clearly. Who has given fake reviews? Is this about Vanig? or about Amazon? Can you post the link here? So that we can really see whether anything is legit or fake..

What I understood is people are taking about product reviews which will be available at Vanig site. And I have seen few people posting fake product reviews at e-commerce sites, Vanig team need to do something to avoid fake product reviews.

Yeah, in their whitepaper they are considering using machine learning techniques to curb fake reviews. They are well aware that fake reviews is a serious problem in e-commerce platform. Vanig are combining emerging technology to solve e-commerce problem.

Sometimes new websites put fake reviews to promote themselves, it is hard for something new to get reviews from
experts.

I think it's very hard to differentiate fake and real reviews, but one option Vanig can try is to keep buyers reviews separate.

Looking forward to seeing all the different categories listed on Vanig. With fashion, appliances and furniture coming first followed by DIY, toys and hobbies. Will be keenly waiting to see what direction Vanig takes in categories and consumer base.

I am hoping that the list will be expanded soon because I would love to see them list some electronic gadgets and mobile phones on the platform. That is the category I love surfing through in most ecommerce websites.
