Nodes are definitely active, are you sure you have the latest wallet version? There were syncing issues with previous ones which have been fixed. If that's not the issue let me know so I can help you!

I got this issue when use v2.2 from github, And is there a wallet for linux users?

vDinar: Yugoslav miners' coin!

Then we've found the issue! Synchronization for blocks coming after the vCrypt value change at block 420000 has been fixed with version 2.2.1, as up to 2.2 there were some missing instructions for the new context.

Sure there is, the fastest way you can install vDinar on Linux is through Snapcraft, which lets you install it with one click instead of compiling all on your own (here's the link). This means you can install vDinar through the Ubuntu Software Center or whatever equivalent your platform includes!
If you want to compile vDinar for yourself though, you can of course do it by following the instructions you'll find in the docs. Here's the Github page, and here's the v2.2.1 release.

how to mining this coin ?  Wink

Well you can either mine it with a CPU using Svarog or mine it with a GPU using Triglav for AMD or Veles for Nvidia! Have a good mining!

I see TXs, just fully aware of other cryptos that still had a few miners even though devs and everyone else bailed on it. Was trying to sync wallet, 2 weeks dl then no nodes, restart, repeat, 2 more weeks, restart, repeat

Nodes are definitely active, are you sure you have the latest wallet version? There were syncing issues with previous ones which have been fixed. If that's not the issue let me know so I can help you!

The K25 fork (improving the way local donations are calculated) has been deployed succesfully after block 630000, both regarding the coin itself and the way the pool has been updated to work with the new algorithm. No issues have been encountered at all, and miners do not need any updates to work with the fork, as the previous code already supported a versatile behaviour towards the pool.

EDIT : Gone

Hi, so here is a giveaway.

Why? Why not...

I put 250 VDN in a web wallet so one person can have it. I edited an old comments of mine and put the id and password in it. The comments is in General and the comment is from 2020. Don't forget to send the 250 VDN to a new adress.

Interesting game, I hope the winner will use those VDNs wisely!  Smiley

My bad, didn't notice the new answers!

Of course VDN is still active, there are always hardcoded nodes running no matter what (minerja what issues are you encountering by the way?)
As the last Windows build had an issue with newer versions of MiniUPnP non-hardcoded nodes are not communicating between themselves, but rather all communicate to the hardcoded nodes, and those hardcoded nodes share everthing with anyone else; so don't worry if you get only 2 active connections, you're just not getting access to the 2.2 Windows nodes (as the issue is only build-related). I hope I'll get that library straight too, but I really didn't want to keep VDN running on obsolete and unsecure libraries, it's better to work on new and secure ones. It did well for all the other libraries, MiniUPnP is the last issue.

As for the exchanges, as you probably all already know, we got our own "Voda" made as a platform for anyone who'd like to trade, but yes, there's no buying volume, which is why I understand if you're expecting other exchanges. If we keep pushing together we can all mean something and get some external exchange to list us, so if you would like that we can organize more on that side! I'm there to support any community-based initiative that can help the project, as I always did until now.

Hello All,

I am just curious what are the current exchanges for this coin,  Are there exchanges you are considering for listing.  I think this coin has potential but when people are listing coins for sale in BCT you need an exchange.

Cheers,
Waya

AFAIK it is not on any exchanges currently. If someone knows of one, please do correct me.

vDinar: Yugoslav miners' coin!
⚠️⚠️⚠️ vDinar is now using vCrypt 11 (2048)

A reminder of the new mining options you'll have to use:

Depending on your mining software (Svarog, Triglav or Veles) the new start options from block 420'000 may vary:

Svarog

Algorithm name on Svarog changes to vcrypt:2048 (2048 being 2^N, or 2^11). Therefore, the new algorithm option will look like:
-a vcrypt:2048
or
--algo vcrypt:2048

Triglav

On Triglav you can choose different ways of displacing for the new N factor:

1) By changing the algorithm name with the option:
--algorithm adaptive-n-factor
This algorithm name is already packaged with the new N factor 11.
Remember not to use this for the next N factor change in 2024 though but to either choose method 2 or 3 in this list.

2) [RECCOMENDED] You can add a new N factor option besides the standard algorithm name option:
--algorithm vcrypt --nfactor 11

3) If you want to specify the N factor for a specific pool, no algorithm name changes are needed, but you'll need to add a new option for pool mining:
--pool-nfactor 11

⚠️ Update! Veles' (Nvidia miner) instructions have been fixed.

Veles:

Algorithm name on Veles changes to vcrypt:10 (the N factor is adjusted by 1 in the code). Therefore, the new algorithm option will look like:
-a vcrypt:10
or
--algo vcrypt:10

I have been watching the project for a long time! I can not understand the essence! what are the plans for further development? when do you plan to add to the stock exchanges?

Hi albanes,
we are having good results with wallet implementation in our local area, many new people are interested in vDinar and they're always satisfied. We're slowly cutting ourselves from the outside crypto-world and going on our own. That's why we're not planning to add any other exchange, we already have Voda Exchange, the official place to trade VDN, and we're opening a legal society to let us trade fiat currencies for VDN.

I think this is a very successful project. It promises to be a blockbuster attract more people in the future, very clear and specific to your site. I think everyone should be interested and involved in the project to understand. Kiss
