OK, so there is no answer from the DEV to my questions about the ClearingHouse. It seems no ClearingHouse, only empty promises in the introduction about the blockchain 2 technology to create an IPO hype. The lack of answer on the topic indicates to me anyone who believes the dev can deliver a blockchain 2 tech is delusional.

I would have an other question. How the exchanges could add ViaCoin without having an open sourced code base? Isn't it open source software required for new coins to get listed on the exchange? And that leads to my final question, when the source code will be published?

I am sorry for those of you who thought that the ViaCoin android wallet project was an official one from the dev. It is in fact only a small community project that I offered to the VIA community, and not an officially endorsed project. Again, I'm sorry for those of you who were confused by this project.

Crypto is a sad, sad world. An honest community effort used as FUD just to push newbie traders to sell cheap.

I've woken up to what looks like gross misunderstanding in this thread so I am making an official statement about it now.

Viacoin is essentially an open source community and the sign of a healthy community is when members step up and take initiative themselves to support the ecosystem in some way (for example building out services, arranging events or promoting it).

We've already seen this, Charlie has started viacointalk forums for example, others have been contributing their time to Vialectrum or making promotional graphics. If someone wants to start a service or build a business around Viacoin they certainly don't need my permission. If someone wants to promote the project, they don't need my permission.

However there is a boundary on what is considered "official" or what is actually endorsed by me. While I have actively encouraged community participation and if asked "do you think it would be a good idea to make x", my answer is invariably "yes". That answer does not make it officially endorsed by me. If I endorse something, I will announce it. Unless you hear it directly from me, please do NOT believe people quoting me.

As you can imagine, since raising over 600BTC in the presale, I have received dozens of PMs and emails from people trying to sell their services to the project. Some of those offers maybe interesting in the future, but most are not. It's good to know the skillsets that are available, but in general, when we need something, we'll go hiring for specifically for a given job.

Unfortunately there has already been a big misunderstanding about my official endorsement of DeShack96's android wallet. Here are the facts:

I was contacted several times by DeShack96 over IRC, email and PM about creating an android wallet for 0.55BTC. I never agreed for him to make a wallet. He was quite persistent and asked yesterday if I thought an android wallet was a good idea. Of course I replied "yes". That was not an instruction for him to make an android wallet, nor was it an endorsement of his skills. I finally replied to him that I am not interested in commissioning an android wallet. So his response was to "take it to the community". Somehow, in his presentation, it seemed like I had officially endorsed the android wallet and ChompZ donated 0.75BTC. When I got back to IRC people were talking about how I had endorsed this. I didnt want to create a fuss so I immediately informed ChompZ so he could take whatever action he desired.

Let me be 100% clear - DeShack96's android wallet is nothing to do with the official Viacoin project, I neither endorse it, and I did not authorize anyone to talk on behalf of me or represent my wishes. DeShack96 android wallet is therefore nothing to do with Viacoin officially nor ClearingHouse.

So there is a lesson here: if you don't hear it from me directly, I never said it.

600 btc raised by the community, then the dev creates a donation address to raise .75 btc for an android wallet? is this a joke? Huh

It wasn't the dev who created that.  Someone else did that on their own.

Then that is a problem within itself.

Why? The coin is 3 days old. Android wallet isn't usually the first priority of a good dev.

Any good dev would have had that on their checklist and with 610 BTC, I would assume that would happen sooner than later, with no community help needed.

So the community taking initiative on a non-priority project is a problem?

lol, move along.

Hello Viacoin friends.

I am the person who donated the .75btc to do the android wallet.
It wasn't the dev. He wasn't even aware of this until AFTER I donated, and he had NOTHING to do with it. Any other claim is a complete lie/FUD.

The android wallet was proposed by a community member on the irc, and i was hasty to fund it without asking the dev for any specs, requirements, functionality, integration, endorsement, or anything else.
The intention was sincere, but the conduct was hasty and unprofessional by me.
I'm sorry for creating such turbulence.

To summarize, the android wallet IS NOT AN OFFICIAL VIACOIN PROJECT and the last thing i'd want is our dev to be engaged in bug fixing or other stuff to do with this really really really side 'project' rather than continue developing based on his outlined roadmap.

Again- I'm very sorry, and ask everyone to see this wallet if/when it rolls out as an amateur alternative wallet that some individual community member made, and not to confuse it with anything official... and definitely not assign any decisions relating to this android wallet to the dev.
It was me alone behind this hastiness.
