Definitely not abandoned. There is a need for regular mining. The big miners are not regular and cause problems.

If you don't have a windows masternode use:
vivocore-0.12.17-win64-setup.exe
does not include vivod.exe. Most people don't use it so works for most.
Otherwise, some will use vivod.exe, in that case you have to use:
vivocore-0.12.17-win64-setupa.exe
includes vivod.exe and will work for anyone.

My Antivirus quarantined both executables. Don’t really want to have a Trojan roaming in my PC
Which antivirus do you use?
I am running windows 10... there is 0 virus flags (nothing quarantined)... Give false positives a google search. They exist all over. I would post pictures if I could but it is 100% clean. So i'm doubting you have the official wallet and perhaps a malicious one?
I can confirm this also. My win 10 did not find out anything on Vivo wallet file. It is possible that is not an official version. Using a custom version of any wallet is the risk.

It is clean from all major virus engines. It is usually a false positive when 10% or less consider it a "Virus" and no major engines are detecting it as one.

False positives happen all the time.
When only 8 out of 72 says that, it is a false positive.
64 are saying it is clean.

You will never rid bad people in this world so you must protect yourself. I always google Vivo coin github or go through their website. I just know i'm running 30+ vivo masternodes with no flags. Luckily you were saved.
