if by alive and kicking you mean no real support from a practically MIA dev and no one thinking that coin is really worth anything... sure.
Faircoin mentioned as failed here, so i had to say its alive and kicking, and boy BTC was worth nothing when it was launched, dont forget. I am not promoting faircoin or whatever else but no any clones are worth until it get some worth, time will tell that and you ll see with your own eyes
