Hi,
WBB is nearing the switch-over / fork at block 66600.
There are only 1490 blocks left to hit the magic block 66600. It should be around Saturday the 06.09.2015 (in about 3 days)
NOTE: YOU MUST UPGRADE TO WALLET V4.5 (THIS IS THE SAME FOR EVERYONE AND NOT AN OPTION)
What happens if you don't upgrade?
1.) Your wallet will stop synching at block 66600 with a version less then V4.5
2.) You will not be able to sent, transfer or use the coins you have with a version less then V4.5
3.) You will not be able to sent the coins to the exchange for trading after block 66600 with a version less then V4.5
4.) Coin you mine will not be sent to the Wallet with a version less then V4.5
Update your Wallet now to V4.5 from

We see still lots of them on 1.0.0.2 Wallet versions. You need to upgrade to V4.5.0 Version. This is not an option, this is compulsory.

I'm relatively new to WBB, but like what I've seen so far. I downloaded the new wallet and it looks great. Is it possible to stake WBB? I've sent some coins to my wallet and was hoping that was the case.

WBB is a POW coin so you can't stake like a POS coin.
For lots more information about WBB have a look at wildbeastbitcoin.com
It is however advisable to hold your coins as there only a little over 2.68 mil ever available and with the changes coming it is a coin for the long term.

I do plan on holding WBB long term. I just wasn't sure if there was an advantage to having them in the WBB wallet rather than on the exchange.

Updated to new wallet smoothly, without any problems.
I see that we still have to wait some time to achieve block 66600, before problems with the switching pool (aka stopping blockchain) disappear. Hope it won't be long.

Will be fairly quick. To help it we add ever so often some power to get a block. This will bring the diff down and the profit switch pool will jump on it.
