seems interesting, how do you guys stop people from spamming the network without fee?
There are several anti-spam measures in place, but this is basically how the main one works: When a client wallet tries to make too many transactions in a set period of time it will get kicked to the back of the queue, if it keeps it up it will be disconnected from the network for 10 minutes, if it keeps up the ban time increases, and so on.
This is just one measure, there are several more in place.
But please do try to spam it, check for yourself, it is really interesting to see how this works when you are trying.

Side blockchains can scale as much as they want.

Wallet Update v0.1.18
This is not a mandatory update, but it resolves a lot of known issues, so it is highly advisable you update as soon as possible.
So a mandatory or not a mandatory update? My node 0.1.17 has stopped working.

v0.1.17 was a mandatory update.
v0.1.18 is the latest release available,this is not a mandatory update.(this has solved most of the issues seen in v0.1.17)
Personally for me v0.1.18 has been very smooth and have faced no issues so far! i would recommend to update.

Perhaps a continuous trial might result into that.
That not withstanding, I still enjoy things like this.
No such thing as of now, wouldn't be fair to lock coins out.
