When it's staking, what causes the stake reward to be Generated but not accepted? I have two stakes in a row that is having this status  Huh

New MAGI's motto?

Hmmm... well the mantra I have been using for a while now is:-

"XMG Magi the coin of the future, here today"

and another one to consider is:-

"With XMG you have to work smart, not hard"

Becoming legend, but I took merit to the knee :(
@joelao95 I like the new theme for the website, but maybe you should restrict access to all pages and redirect them to the counter if you wanted to keep the suspence up Wink
Thanks for the heads up.

I have a couple of hundred magicoins in my wallet now and have a question regarding the staking of them. I have to make a payment to myself with the amount of coins in my wallet to receive the rewards. Do I have to repeat the payment every time I receive a reward or will the keep coming in on their own?
Maintaining a couple of hundred coins in one transaction will give good results, but it's tedious to do this every time you get reward. It's fine if you put all coins (say a couple of hundred, not big amount) in one transaction after undergoing a few times of staking.

Would it be possible not to redirect links to the miners? Haha

Which are your server's CPU/CPUs Smiley

2x Intel Xeon E5-2666 v3 CPUs - I'm restricted to 36 threads, 18 are real cores, 18 hyperthreads, I believe. AWS C4 series, just for fun.

Looks like your wallet just starts staking? any transactions recently? That's the reason showing insufficient weight; notice that the expected time is never accurate.

The actual expected time to earn PoS rewards is about 2-3 days for coins 100 XMG or so under current network weight. It's better to stake all of your coins together; you can do so by sending all to an address. You can close your wallet then and keep it offline; be sure to check back the status for example, 1 day later, the stake weight and expected time to earn rewards (just estimate). You will receive interest for sure.

It's not that much benefiting though by staking 110 XMG though (this is also for security considerations, just imagine other people/network can get interests far more than you), but you don't have to remain the wallet online, just check it from time to time. For better result, storing more coins like 500 XMG will get you rewards in less than half day (in this case better to be online more often to ensure rewards received).

Rules: Don't send coins during staking, or stake time will be reset. Don't keep the wallet offline for more than 5 days in any circumstance, or you need to reset the stake time.

Thank you for the wide explanation! It gives me some ideas on what to do next Wink
I was away for holidays and my wallet was offline until some point this week, when I also updated it to the newest version.
I didn't do transactions with that money foe quite some time, so the "don't send coins" doesn't apply.

Sorry for such late response, but I gusss that it's better to give an update. Finally bought some more XMG and also mined a little, now all the coins are back to wallet and PoS seems to have started good.

Liked the initial one "It's a kind of magic. There could be only one"; whilst the one magic posted is tremendous; [his username always makes me recall the early days when the coin was launched, there was a person named "111magic" came to the thread. I was thinking someone kidding me Huh, though I found out finally he had a story about that. that was fun and nice one could recall].

what is max miners, and whats your K/ Hash and hardware?

I have one server pulling 271kh/s, ony i7-4770k pulling 80kh/s, and one laptop i7-4700HQ pulling about 60kh/s. MaxMiners is the pool I'm mining at.

I'm using a custom miner I made - nonce-pool's CPU miner with most of the M7M hash code rewritten.

Coin of the Magi!
They dont work for me sadly, I just get message binding to CPU threads, then nothing happens.

C:\AMD\wolf-m7m-cpuminer-x64-0122-generic>minerd.exe -a m7mhash -o localhost:941
 -u xx -p xxx -t 8 -s 1
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 0 to cpu 0
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 4 to cpu 4
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 6 to cpu 6
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 7 to cpu 7
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 2 to cpu 2
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 3 to cpu 3
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 5 to cpu 5
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 1 to cpu 1
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] 8 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm.
Had the same problem (actually still do). If the connection protocol is stratum+tcp, everything works fine, but if the host protocol is http or an IP, I get the same error.

Will get a fix to this.

Hello new fellow.

Hope you like MAGI

Did you see the price? Sligthy moved up on Biitrex
Code:
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XMG

I am not mega new been mining for a few weeks now non stop solo. Solved 2 blocks in that time and I think I hold onto these coins as they where so hard to get hold of. Long as 30K is the norm thats awsome. If everyone else is on around that, then boosting speed for everyone wont really make much difference

I solved 8 of the last 20 blocks found by MaxMiners! Cheesy

Also, you're right - boosting speed for everyone will make little to no difference at all.

I am looking for volunteers with Haswell class AVX2 processors to test and benchmark a new Windows 64 bit minerd.exe for me, since I don't currently have access to one. I need you to tell me a) if it actually works and b) how fast/slow it compares to others that you have already benchmarked on your machine.

Any takers? I will post the link Cheesy

Windows 32 bit users need not feel left out. I have a new one for you already. It will blow your socks off.

Is it based on my code? Also, have you looked at the code yet?

Yes of course it is a compilation of your code Wink

Or rather, it is a pre-compilation using vanilla Cygwin instead of my custom Msys/Mingw64 compiler.

I have not looked at the code myself, since I am no kind of C programmer Sad

I'm sure it is very good code. Cheesy

No really, it is !@*@*! fast mate. Superb job.

I need your XMG addy to send your bounty.

I can only seem to get 30K a sec on an AMD FX 8 core CPU on a abertooth 2.0 Motherboard with 8 threads, is this normal or is there a way to boost this. I am running on 4.2 GHZ with 16 GB ram

Normal... for now. Stay tuned.
