I would like to thank whoever it was just sent me 127-odd XMG. Very nice of you. Another anonymous person sent me twice that last week.

What have I done to deserve this?

I must be doing something right for a change Cheesy

It has been a fabulous day, all things considered.

Why not ? You can, but you need to pay additional fee for transaction. Even if you move from 1 address to 2 address in your wallet it's a new transaction and you need to pay fee.

So if you have on your account total 100 xmg you can't send it all, becouse you need to pay fee. So you can send only 99.9999 xmg + 0.0001 xmg as fee.

Coin of the Magi!
I did build a turbo XMG miner Tongue
Wolf, curious when could you release the miner to the community?  Cheesy

When it's profitable. Right now, it's not a good idea to do anything but sit on it and mine with it.

Profit is the issue, and even big issue lies in that all of people want to see the profits; the question is where we create the money or the money is from. It's taking years for coming the bitcoin (as Satoshi expected or he does't expecting the bitcoin era that quick), while nowadays we can get a pump to fill out everyone's pocket. Wink Let's just see ...  Smiley

Coin of the Magi!
Does anyone know how many XMG coins are approximately mined per 24hrs at this time?
I have a program to retrieve some numbers, but will be able to that at some time. If one wants, running api and a simple program will do it: https://github.com/magi-project/magi-api-cpp. Either way, we know the mined coins per day from the money supply changes. PoW mining is about 34% at this moment: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/#!extraction

Quick question about the new wallet 1.2.1.1:

I upgraded today and there were around 93 XMG in my old wallet and I noticed that the blocks were not syncing, so I was around 500 of so behind. I made a copy of my wallet.dat in my roming profile and then ran the new wallet client 1.2.1.1. There was an error loading the blkindex, so I renamed blkindex.dat and blk001.dat so it would start new ones and I opened the client again. I let it sync while I was at work. When I got back, there were only 27 or so xmg in my balance. I can see all my transactions from mining, but it's not totaling to the 93 it had before. I don't see any outgoing transactions that would account for the missing coins.

Has anyone else has this problem? Is there something I missed while upgrading?

Thanks!

If you open debug-window and type the command checkwallet, it should look something like the image below

If it says anything else, please tell us what it says.

ahhh, yes it's something else, ex33s! Smiley

checkwallet

{
"mismatched spent coins" : 27,
"amount in question" : 80.71842199
}

Any suggestions for recovering them?

Take a backup of your wallet.dat, important if something goes wrong Smiley

After that run
Code:
repairwallet

When that finished restart the wallet and then run
Code:
checkwallet

and you should be good.

Awesome! Thanks ex33s!  I'll give it a try when I head home for the day and let you know. I really appreciate the help!

@Wolf0
You are right. Happy to hear that, for a moment I was worried you build a turbo-XMG-miner or something  Wink
I guess now it has become more difficult to mine XMG and there are only a few thousand (does anyone know how many approx.?) XMG mined every day,
there will not be a lot of dumping going on.
Also those who were bringing the price down, were deliberately doing so, as they sold under the highest bid to keep the high % decrease in play.
At this time, price is rising again, and some of us bought a lot more XMG at a very nice price, and holding them, not selling.

Today is a great day.

Bitcoins are cheap.

XMG is cheap.

There is plenty of XMG on sale at Bittrex.

It is selling well.

This alone is a very good indicator of the support for XMG. A few big holders cashing out is fine by me - just spread the love Cheesy

Today is a great day ... to be buying XMG. Get in. Get it staking in your wallet.

You know it makes sense Wink

It was only the wind.
I don't understand why some are selling XMG for 3000sat at this time. Time, energy and costs needed to mine 1 XMG are more expensive than 3000sat, isn't it?

That, of course, depends.

That is an interesting statement :-) Could you reveal a bit more of the mystery?

Power cost, mining method, power used per kh/s, etc differ between people.
