Love this app, especially the block rewards monitor. having it in my palm is very useful as well as access to the price!
Still waiting till i can mine Magi on my LG G3 though... still waiting.

Very nice work anyhow. I will be sure to stay more in tune with the coin now.

I just got my PoM payment too, nice! Smiley

I'm just thinking up ideas for other improvements if we are planning a new release to address the issues we have discussed in depth earlier.  One thing that might be nice to add would be a transaction memo field like other coins have added.  This way we could send out a note like: “for your PoM payment”.

Having a memo could allow other applications to be built on top of the coin at some point for example something like Project Alexandria, see http://blocktech.com/

The Magi Coin App looks very nice.
Only 2 news updates are listed, both from last March.
Surely there must be "newer" news to post.

I see that security is not a big concern with this app.
But it WOULD be for a QT wallet, and I wonder if the same
level of security can be achieved on Android.

I have the Viral-qt and Novacoin-qt apps so far.
You might want to copy novacoin's "minting" tab, since
there would be no way to "hover" over the staking icon.
(For a future Magi-qt android app project, I mean.)

Thanks for the feedback Coin-R-Us!
Thats really nice. As you know Magi will not stand still and Magi team will look into these options for the Future of Magi!

Now this is something awesome for Magi lovers (like me), but can I see that it is only an informative XMG app. I don't see the ability to send or receive XMG on the app, or am I wrong? Anyways, it is a great effort that the Magi development team has created and I'm looking forward to see Magi grow and become the most popular alt coin out there. Keep up the good work!  Cheesy

I see an app on Google Play that claims to be the official Coin Magi App!
It certainly looks real.  Tons of info about Magi included in the app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.bauerj.xmg_app&hl=en

So is this app a lightweight wallet or full client?  Can it stake?
I assume it is secure, open-source and all that good stuff?

Lol good thing you find it there. For sure its the real one.
Indeed you can add addresses there. If the app does not accept you address label first remove the label and than scan the qr code.
Staking is not an option yet! ;-) If you stake with that address on your pc you can see the rewards coming in. Grin

Don't know what happened. But there is always the option of mining solo with your wallet.

It has been some time that I have been mining Magi within my own laptop's Intel Core i5 CPU. However, I'm still not quite sure how this unique block reward works. I have an idea of how it could be but I'm not sure if it is right. I guess the less hashrate you have for mining, the more reward you will get? I need better explanation for this as I really don't understand how it works. Sorry for asking, I just want to know Magi well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks  Grin

The reward function is explained in the "Magi-Reward-V2" and "Necessary to adjust miner efficiency?" sections of this post. If you want a graph of any block's possible rewards based on average hashrate (and block difficulty), you can use the following site to play with the parameters: http://starflakenights.net/crypto/blockreward/xmg.html.

Thanks for sharing this information. I will take a look at it, analyze the block reward and see how well I could keep up with Coin Magi. XMG's block reward is what makes Coin Magi a unique alt coin among other cryptos.  Cheesy
