Well it seems I just got my answer, now to find out how to turn it off, or at least lower it.

You can probably just mute the miner in the Windows sound mixer, since it allows volume control on a program-by-program basis.

just a simply question, last win wallet is not 1.2.1.2? because at the OP thread i see 1.2.1.1. in letters but when i try to donwload it i can find the 1.2.1.2 version.

I think the version bump to 1.2.1.2 occurred when Raspberry Pi 2 (armv7) build support was added and that there were no other changes to the wallet, so there would have been no reason to update the Windows wallet. I'm not entirely positive, but I believe that's all that took place and I assume Joe will answer more completely when he drops by.
All >1.2.0.0 are just fine; but yeah, I got to get the latest compiled.

Oi overhasher !

Who's a naughty boy then?

Once again ... did someone mention spanking? Cheesy

That does look strange, though large variation of hash over time is a fact.

@all others, trying to look into average hash; if you got the average over 250 kh/s, you will be warned. Please observe your hash and pull down little bit to make sure it stays in a safe level.

Is there beeps from new posts on this forum (while logged in) or does sweet spot miner give beeps out at diff changes or something? Just curious cause they are driving my wife nuts. These are the only things that have changed prompting me to ask.
Edit. Well it seems I just got my answer, now to find out how to turn it off, or at least lower it.

There is something Magical going on.

Total pool hashrate is now less than 36 Mh/s.

XMG block reward is now 34 XMG.

Good sense has prevailed.

All smiles here Cheesy

one more guy who join on this community, me, hi all!!!

im reading a little bit this big thread  Wink

just a simply question, last win wallet is not 1.2.1.2? because at the OP thread i see 1.2.1.1. in letters but when i try to donwload it i can find the 1.2.1.2 version.

and another question, if my CPU have SSE2, should i use it instead of the generic minerd version? ( i think yes, but who know, maybe someone have bad experiencies with it, dunno )

That's a good question. I am running 1.2.1.1 and I thought that I was bang up to date.

SSE2 is very old hat these days, pardon my French. The generic miner for Windows includes multiple code streams which are selected according to which version of SSE is supported by the processor. This is a default provided by the GCC compiler since ... some time ago ... so use a generic miner.

My generic miner was compiled to support numerous processor architectures and you will be hard-pushed to find one that runs any faster on anything. It was compiled using a custom configuration built specifically for compiling this one bit of code minerd.exe for XMG for Windows Wink

Links for software in the OP https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-xmg-magi-cpu-mining-mpow-mpos-magipay-735170

The software automatically selects the correct miner for you, 32 or 64 bit. It is worth noting that the package includes three 64 bit miners, generic, avx and avx2 for historical reasons. They are actually all the same code. In practice it was found that compiling specifically to produce avx-compatible code which ought to run faster actually ran just a tiny bit slower. The generic miner rules ... now. This was not the case with a previous version of the miner, shall we call it "pre-Wolf".

Hope this helps. Somebody else tell me what is happening with the wallet version? Am I just lagging behind?

Edit: I am still offering 100 XMG to anybody who can compile a faster version BTW. 200 XMG if I am really impressed. The only conditions are that it must be compiled from the official source and that it must work for both solo and pool mining. You will have to show me how you did it. Be aware that I used a custom version of the GMP library and 22 compiler switches, so this is no ordinary challenge Wink

The generic miner version will usually yield the poorest results of them all. Find your computer's CPU here: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/CPU.html (use the search box), and [check to see what its family is if you have an AMD processor] or [what Microarchitecture it is if you have an Intel CPU]. That will give you an idea of what miner to use.

For example, if I had an AMD FX-8350 CPU, I would find its page and see that it comes from the AMD FX-Series. That means minerd-x64-athlonfx.exe is the one for me. Similarly, if I had an Intel Core i5-3450 CPU, I would see that its microarchitecture is Ivy Bridge and use the minerd-x64-ivybridge.exe miner.

Of course, your mileage may vary. The surest way to determine the best miner is to just try all of them and benchmark each one. Additionally, I'm not sure if Spexx's Autominer package will automatically select the best miner for you, but it's worth trying. And I'm sure he'll chime in to let you know if it does and lend his experience either way.

Edit: brackets for clarification
Edit 2: I was apparently very wrong, see Spexx's post below and go generic because it's the best!

I agree. But I also notice that some coins buy their way in to exchanges. Check top of list on Cryptsy!
Magi don't want to do it that way. And no need to because Magi keeps on growing and more people are joining our Magical Magi community!

Hey guys! Magi got red flagged on C-cex.com for delisting on may 3rd!!! Cry

There is a problem with trading volume on anywhere other than Bittrex or Poloniex. It used to be good on Cryptoine too and that was my fav exchange, but sadly it is currently off the air.

I certainly do not take it as a sign of failure on the part of XMG. It is just a case of the exchange wanting to concentrate their efforts on coins that generate the most income for them, which is good business practice.

They will be back trading XMG when it is worth 1000 times what it is today - sometime during the middle of next week then I reckon Cheesy

I agree, coins have volume in specific exchanges; not all of exchanges have decent BTC trading volumes as well. Sadly exchanges list and delist coins, that's definitely not the style personally I am keen to.

The volume on Bittrex and Poloniex is also very low at the moment, around 1000 till 2000 XMG a day.
People don't want to buy and don't want to sell.  Grin

Hey guys XMG will hit 100K in next few months, I guess then lots of people will buy it including me, but people must agree with me including myself. When price gets to a level and that doesn't please both sides of sellers and buyers, volume goes down drastically, which is almost a predicted consequence, not now but finally. Exchanges delisting coins in terms of volume is rather rash; I wonder which coins they would keep "forever".

Re: Windows XMG Magi Miner Speed Controller

I just discovered a bug in the SweetSpot targeting module which results in no limiting being applied in very specific circumstances i.e. when the current XMG block value is just 1 XMG above the set target value and Mild limiting is selected.

Oops Cheesy

If you are using this software, please temporarily stop the Miner Speed Controller on your machine and install the bug-fixed version now. You can use the "Download latest version" option from the first menu in the Setup procedure C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed\Setup.bat or you can just download direct from this link below:-

XMG Magi Miner Speed Controller XMGMinerSpeed.exe

As usual, this is a self-extracting Zip file which unzips to folder C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed by default. Once unzipped, just restart the Speed Controller - there is no need to run the Setup.bat again.

Sorry about that. Did someone mention a spanking? Wink

lol yes there was. But thanks for notice this Spexx.
Keep up the good work!

Yes we noticed that.
Some people are happy about that some people not.
Think the main reason was that Magi was added very fast on 10 different exchanges while the volume needs to grow first. The Proof of Interest might have some influence on that Smiley
The focus for Magi are the new unique developments, merchants, mining and growing.
With all of that new exchanges will adding Magi.
(Cryptsy? Wink )
If Magi has more than 0.1 btc trading volume it can stay on that exchange.
I think its not bad trading volume is little low some days. At this moment its just great to see the Proof of Mining is running smooth and the developments off better mining software are done very well.
The Proof of Interest tells us every day a bit more how much trust people have in the awesome Future of Magi.
