Anyone got blocked by Windows Defender when running the wallet for first time?! Is it a false positive on monerov-wallet-gui.exe ? Downloaded the wallet from MoneroV site...

when i use remote node i have balance in 10 times smaller then it should be.as i know charges were made 1:10,not 1:1.
should i download all size blockchain to display the correct balance or what i'm doing wrong?

I'm not a cheerleader for XMV, but it says on the website to transfer your Monero to another wallet after the fork so that you aren't risking your XMR when you import your keys to the XMV wallet. If they were trying to steal your XMR, I seriously doubt they would suggest that.
Simply wait a bit to see what happened before doing those steps yourself.Forks of Cryptonight algorithm coins are hottest trend in recent weeks.

Yeah, everyone is having to sync from scratch off of the limited number of wallets that the dev had synced. They should have created a bootstrap and posted it on a file sharing site to help get everyone started. I don't blame them, I would be more worried if their team was more familiar with forks...lol.
