Trying to compile it on Windows. I must have compiled 50 daemons on Windows and never had this an error message for any coin. It probably doesn't help that src/makefile.mingw appears to be from freicoin though.
Compile for linux, is most easy.

But you can to calculate hashrate by formula. Take a look at bitcoin difficulty pages.
