I was getting 70 SOLS with 6x 1080ti and the net hash is 7K+ SOLS , its really really hard to mine this coin

nice rig !
yes, but you're gonna get a lot of coins with it.

I got between 20 -24 coins per day with 2 gtx 1080ti.

is there a mining calculator for Zero to see how much I could mine per day?

I want to mine, but I need to know if it will be profitable for me or not.

Thanks! Wink

got nothing so far, as the client does not support getwork , I tried to interface with Z-nomp only to realise its not the same equihash so it doesnt work.

I am not sure how to solo mine with this now? not sure how you come to the conclusion I will get that many coins because it does not look like it at the moment

a few points , if you can not use a equihash miner such as one used for Zcash it should be clearly obvious. This means for example Z-nomp will no longer function for those of us wanting to mine.

The second point is, I have compliled the Linux wallet from source , and created the conf file yet I am getting no connections to any nodes for at least 30 mins so the wallet will not sync.

The Optminer is useless for multi GPU rigs to many hurdles for me to mine this at the moment.

miner. tips has been updated by zero destroyed his system, now he can't access his wallet anymore

To backup your Zero wallet, use the instructions on how to backup the Zcash one:
https://github.com/zcash/zcash/blob/master/doc/wallet-backup.md

In case it comes up, Zero keeps its data and config in ~/.zero, and the wallet is called wallet.zero

Let us know if you hit any snags with the wallet backup or restore.

Here you will find real time info for ZERO Global Hash rate, Difficulty, and exchange rates.
Also many guides about crypto HOW-TOs and hardware repairs for video cards. I am currently writing most of the articles.

I hope you find it useful.

hi,

nice side.

the calculator is incorrectly zero related
example with 4000h/s equihash
would generate about 65 coins per day
and about 16.25 USD with zero earning per day

please correct

best regards and thanks

 Grin

Hm let me check on that. Thanks for bringing that up. The calculator is still been build on.

yes, no problem
I've already seen that he's still in beta

@lokko
You were correct. The calculation has been corrected after some testing on the conversion between the miners used.
Please test and tell me if you see what it should be like in real world.

Serious question (and dont get me wrong, im holding a few k zero):
How is it possible for zero to maintain value with almost no volume on exchange and more or less no news and development (that i know of)?

just noone wants to sell, as they for me atleast , were notoriously hard to mine haha
off the bat i never had enough 8 GB cards, and i only pushed my Nvidia stuff there a few weeks ago
SO it being so hard to mine, people aint selling them cheap! i know im not!

well said. I was considering mining but decided against it for this reason............. so im buying them all up when they're cheap  Kiss

2017-10-08 11:12:27 Adding fixed seed nodes as DNS doesn't seem to be available.
no seeds from default setup at git?
For the time being, replace all the addnode entries in your .conf file with:
zeropool.cloud
54.144.219.55

Next major release, now in alpha testing, has updated instruction, with these entries.
