Thanks for bring this up here, I guess he will answer with something like "guys, we need to pay the gas for the transaction of the token, so the token is absolutely free for you because you only need to pay the gas".
It is only my own assumption, maybe they have other reasons why they ask for 0.005? Something like to avoid multiple claim by one users (abuse)? 0.005eth worth around $5 now, while standard cost for transfer is only less than $0.1 so it wont be good reason if they say as what I think.
