I think you're looking at it wrong. Why beat on bitcoin? It's "gold" in the crypto world. This is more like... I was gonna say platinum, but it's not as rare. Maybe iridium?

It likely will. Up till a few hours after the end of POW, the multipools will be dumping. It's what they do. If I hadn't blown my wad on mining, I'd view it as a buy opportunity.

the btc rate is for more shifts a better comparison, if you get less SYNC, but still more or less same BTC/million shares it just means the exchange rate is rising. BTC/1M is more or less a measurement to check the pools performance

All alt-coins are however traded first to BTC, and then SYNC is purchased from the "mined" BTC.
