I am trying to understand how the wifi router owner gets paid. Do they have to have people connecting to their access point? In which case this wont really help people who hae wifi at home and live in low density residential areas (as there arent enough users that will connect). It will only benefit businesses (hotels, bars, airports etc) and other places where people actually connect to their wifi.

A mobile application is planned to track Wi-FI Global points around the world.
Nice. Really curious how this will work out. There are several free wifi projects, that are like 10+ years old, but were never able to really do a great difference I feel.

The idea seems very interesting, free wifi internet for those in need in exchange for viewing ads, i can imagine everybody sharing wifi competing for the lowest fee to attract more users.

A very large mass of people ready to support you with $ 10 , someone can invest 50 $, and willing to invest 90 $ can also scare away the absence of such a clause. Ok, it is more clear to me now. People get paid for offering free Wifi. The question is ... where comes the money from? Wifi Global must somehow earn money to be able to give money ...
