You are correct rpcport is 16666, however networking port (where it comunicates with other peers) is 36666
To elaborate, rpcport is used locally to communicate with other processes and mining services (so you can see network info, get your balance, request a withdrawal, ask it to generate a new address, etc)
The other one is used to syncronize with network, and receive and transmit transactions and block updates!

but im trying linux for a little now.. and i really gotto get use to that. even trying to make a P2Pool 2 but aint easy if u never done linux before!!! getting nowhere hah Grin

Those are a good news. Problem is, that I withdrew my funds from CryptoRush in 66coin, so I can't set buy orders right now.
Sell orders are still over 3BTC, hopefully people won't panic and start to sell their valuable 66s for just 1.7BTC: this happened just because of recent issues on CryptoRush.

yeah been loooaaads of talk around cryptorush... but its all been blown out of proportion (i think) id blow steam too if i lost alot. i did loose a lil in the trades before.. bought 66 but got none.oh well.
i somewhere hope people do panic Grin

That sounds great... but I'm a bit short on time, I'll see what I can do over the weekend, the hardfork block was chosen to be around 2 weeks from now so there is time to provide the different versions.
I'm a linux user so I could compile for linux, and cross-compile for Win32, I'm not aware of any cross-compiler for MAC on linux... as for testing, I can only test linux version, which I already do anyway Sad

. I'll try to put all the tools so in the future I can provide windows binaries but will still need someone to build for mac as I don't own one!
