Well - if it was straight forward, they could not send
themselves a ton of BTC to take the majority of coins
and dump them. Assuming anyone really buys any of this.

WHy are all ICOs using this model, nobody wants to throw their money away for an undetermined number of coins...leaving it up to a possibly malicious development team....why can't we just be straightforward with ICOs - you pay x btc for x altcoin?
