In the recent aelf event — the one year anniversary; Core developer, Guanglei presented a technical breakdown of how aelf is implementing the key features of the aelf blockchain ecosystem. In this article I’ll take his presentation and break it down even further, pulling out some of the key components to give a brief overview of the aelf blockchain components.

Firstly, let me state the overall goal of aelf — that is to create a blockchain platform that is able to support a large number of commercial scale dApps. In order to achieve this, one fundamental belief we hold firm to is that we should employ many of the experiences and technologies that have been developed in traditional IT related industries. In the past twelve months, the project has witnessed exponential growth, substantial developments, and accelerating progress and collaboration in pursuit of blockchain’s introduction to mainstream adoption and real-world business applications. aelf’s first anniversary is the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far the project and community have come since their inception one year ago, and to look forward to everything the future has in store.

Cross chain — Implemented sidechain indexing functionality and improved merkle tree structure for transaction existence verification.

Cluster — Implemented monitor API authentication and provided monitoring interfaces for several modules, like transaction pool, network and consensus.

Testing — Single node and multi nodes stability testing. Rollback pipeline and node restart scenario test work.

Performance — Refactored transaction pool structure for high performance and memory&processor occupation analysis.

This weekly development report is containing very valuable information because most of the work on underdeveloped things has been almost completed or is in final stages. ELF tokens has become available on more cheaper price as work on sidechain and wallet in entering in shaping mode. What is good here project is being developed without hype silently.

Because aelf did not have a marketing campaign like most ICOs, many investors have not heard of the project or know what the project does. With so many institutional investors on board, I belive that the team is qualified to carry out the project. So I think the token provides good value in the near future.
