i think it is a better update than bitcoin itself since it is fast and has aclower transaction fee.

by reading about what bitcointoken is. it really made my day because we all know that having a 24sec. transaction time really is very very good. Bitcoin lightning network might become centralized and we dont want that.
There you go! you hit the nail on the head. Centralization is the problem of many of the currencies. They are businesses and not in the interest for people but in the end profit and control. Name the currencies that are open source and de-centralized or attempting to be so. There are not many. We believe bitcointoken has value if we can set guidelines in place to ensure it remains and continues as a truly community currency with the end users in control not a select few.
Also we on purpose have made this currency simple, no overly elaborate plans. The reason being is that we want large adoption rate and real-life use. We are in the plans to setup a framework for this to happen more easily.
Everything will be open source and developers will be able to use this as a platform for innovation in the ETH blockchain.
