I have yet to receive a confirmation email... is there something to worry about? When I first went to sign up it said my email/address had already signed up, which I hadn't. I used my backup email (still gmail) and have not received any email yet... been over one day.

This is Because of 2 Possible Reasons
1. Either you have used your ether address or Email address twice while submitting for
2. Or you have used a different combination of email address and ether address.
We request you send us email at [email protected], with your email address and ether address our team will look into this
